Yes, a completely removed sway bar will be superior to KDSS. But who in their right mind would drive without a sway bar. lol

So I see, when you say "buyers who go off road" your saying off road only with little/no on road driving. Well then I 100% agree with you, why get on road enhancements when your only going off road. That makes sense.

Wouldn't work for me since i don't want to buy a trailer to tow my dedicated off road vehicle or drive in an unsafe non sway bar vehicle to work everyday and use for family trips as well as off road.

You're not wrong on that. These dealer markups are insane.

I'll still stick by my main case:
If you're gonna keep it stock, go for the TRD Off Road. Its a great value.
If you're gonna modify it substantially, definitely consider an SR5.

Did you read the part where your beloved power wagon has almost the exact same specs?

And then you claimed that the Raptor had better angles while they are actually worse than ours.

But, we don't know what we're talking about.

I wish more people felt this way!

I know we're back and forth about lockers and A-TRAC, but I still respect your opinion.

When you feel good your mighty TRD Pro has angles almost as good as a 2500's, the 2500 that can haul a 4Runner around, not tow, but freakin haul, you need help :D

Towing a Rubicon and then letting it go to be on its own, while hauling a TRD Pro on top to protect all its plastic, wouldn't that be cute? :D

What are you talking about? I don't even have a PRO. And I don't care about the power wagon.

Also, the Power wagon's payload is 3160 lbs, so it definitely cannot haul a 4Runner.

Price difference between the SR5 and ORP in Canada is $4,410 which includes the sunroof, KDSS, MTM and remote start. Absolutely worth it in my opinion to have a factory locking diff, Manual shift t-case, MTS and crawl control.

Those Rams with Danas, Cummins and Hemis, ZFs and Aisins, are as tough as they come, I wouldn't worry a bit about putting a 4Runner up there.

There are those boring ass companies that are super spooked that if their boring ass cars don't do the only thing that they can do, which is to run to the mall with fewer problems, people will stop buying their boring ass cars. And then there is FCA that doesn't give two Fs, it imagines and goes right ahead and builds them. Be careful what you wish for from FCA, because you will get them. 6.7L Cummins in the Wrangler, lets go FCA, make it happen!

Anyways, no more. I am really stopping it here, won't be tempted again to respond to Jeep/Ram Vs. Toyota thing :argue:

    I'd rather have a 5.9.

I do sometimes wish Toyota would do more cool stuff like they used to. But that doesn't really seem relevant to this conversation.

I've said for a while if Toyota offered the 4Runner with the Tundra's 5.7L V8 it would be a game changer. In fact, while we're dreaming I'll ask for factory lockers and steel bumpers from the factory. 34's from the factory would be be nice too.

Also not relevant to the conversation here but a man can dream can't he?!

I wonder if there is a Viper cut equivalent for the rear bumper, if one wants to do things cheap.

Has anyone noticed that a lot of videos about Atrac have audio overlay and you can't hear anything from the actual vehicle? With the music used here combined with his...narrating style, I had to put it on 2x speed to not fall asleep.

what I can gather his three reasons Atrac is better:

    (1) it "flipping" works. Okay.

    (2) he keeps saying it is reserved on the "top tier off roader", but he also acknowledge that overseas low end Land Cruisers use traditional locking differentials, yet we know today the cheapest 4Runner in SR5 trim also comes with Atrac system, while TRD Pro/PRO comes with both Atrac AND a locking diff. So that doesn't sound like it is reserved for the top level offroader. He keeps calling the Lexus LX600 "top tier off road vehicle", does he understand the concept that that lower end LCs are the ones expected to be driven hard and overseas, or does he think people drive LX600 as hard as people with cheaper trims of LC in developing countries?

    (3) "it simply works". Okay.

Did I miss anything? If not, this video does not change my mind.
