    Well problem was resolved.

For reference, when you live in the Deep South, we aren't used to snow and frigid weather. On Saturday, took it back to the dealership. They looked at it, and basically the ENTIRE suspension was a block of ice. Which was caused by some melting and driving on Friday. Sound happened yesterday while driving.

Today, got above freezing and it's melted off. So no more weird noises.

So yes, I overreacted. But again, when you aren't used to freezing conditions (with melt/refreeze), it may cause issues on suspension parts with a creaking sound.

In other words: I'm a boob. :frustrated:

Nah man, I wouldn’t know that either. Glad it worked out though. Let’s just not have anymore crazy cold weather in the south ever again.

Conducted my non-scientific seat-of-the-pants (literally) heated seat test today. With the seat heater set to high, me wearing jeans, I did not think the seats got very hot. Don't get me wrong, they were "fine" and, given that it was 57 degrees , I imagine they'd feel even better if it was actually cold enough to use them.

Since I never used (or don't remember ever using) them before putting the covers on, I can only compare them to our Sienna's heat seaters which get REALLY hot. The Sienna's seats are also leather so it's a different material comparison.

Thank you for the update. I had wet Okoles on my 15 Tacoma years ago and they were cloth seats and I love them. I don’t really want to drop big bucks on them if the seat warmer don’t come thru much. I’m in Pa and it’s been pretty dam cold. That’s why I asked to get some info on them. I’m probably better off I have seen these throw design blanket it hooks on the headrest from instagram. Cheap way to go. Perfect also for the beach when you are covered in sunscreen. Lol. I will have to think this over for a while. Thanks Husky Mike!!

I almost went with those same ones from IG but I wanted something that also tucked in/ around the seat cushion so it didn't move around when I got in and out all day. I was using a bath towel on the passenger seat- where I put snacks, paperwork, bits and pieces etc. That worked fine for that but it would move all around when my wife got in the car.

FWIW- I paid $215 with current discount and before tax (free shipping) for these. We used seat covers unlimited for our Crosstrek covers, which we like, but those were more expensive when I checked.

Yeah I agree that was my thought with the blanket not staying in place. Still not sure what I’m going to do yet. I know the seats take a beating when sliding in and out of them.

Looks like Toyota sells the whole pedal assembly (78110-35040) for about $180~$200. Hopefully this won't become an intermittent issue later, but at least it would be simple enough to replace if necessary. I'll have to take a closer look when it's not 15° outside.

Installed a set of Fiamm Freeway Blaster horns. Had to trim the plastic piece that covers the OEM horn closest to the center, so it would be easier to reinstall the mounting bolt on the new one. Had to get creative with mounting the new ones, the included brackets weren't long enough to piggy-back the horns off each other. And whoever designed those push pins for the front radiator cover should get a raise! Brilliant how all you have to do is push down in the center, and the pin lifts right up. Pull the center pin up a little bit to reinstall, and it goes right in. No tools needed, no prying with a screwdriver or trim removal tool. I wanted to get a set of horns that wouldn't require a relay, like those mini air horns do. These are louder than stock, but not by much, certainly not as loud as a mini air horn.

The pedal assembly contains the sensor. It's just one big plastic lever with a sensor on one end and pedal on the other. there are not multiple pieces to it.

    Battle scar!
    :crapstorm:
My ghetto OE mudflap delete via Sawzall was maybe a better idea than once thought.
Bright side is your not as bad as that meme of a F350 tire that caught onto the flap and ripped the rear quarter panel clean off

I put on RCI skid plates on last month and today I managed to install Dob's diff drop spacers; I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the RCI Skid plates and their customer service. The skids took a beating in shipment, box was half destroyed and bolt(s) missing but the powder coat held up (wiped it clean and found nothing wrong) and the skids still perfectly straight. I was worried I might need to find spacers for the skids during the diff drop but they fit right in as-is. For your information, the ARB/OME driver side radiator support arm/bracket works great so far with the skids and the diff drop (no rubbing on that bracket so far).

In case anyone is wondering, as for the CBI bumper edge, here is a photo of how the CBI+RCI mate up.. there is barely any gap between them, it's just the bottom edge of the radiator support.

    Lots…
DD is highest quality. Best to use HQ lights inside and not mess up your computer with cheap and electronics form Amazon. I have those in my Sienna and the light quality is bright and still a warm temp light. Enjoy!
