    Hey guys, im new on the forum and have a few questions . I would appreciate some help....

    I got a 4 runner limited and love working on vehicles myself. Im wanting to do a 3-inch leveling lift on it and would know what would be appropriate with the standard shocks and not bottom out on Control arms. Im not doing off-road since it's 2x4, and it's my wife's daily vehicle, but i want the look.

    Help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance. 20240115_133508.jpg

    My advice do not lift.

    Because;
    • (Technical talk from shop) The 4x4 shop I used said Limited rear shocks are not good for lift, lesser than regular 4Runner shocks.
    • (User experience)I have tried few lifts on my 4Runners and none of those shocks comfy as XREAS on pavement.

    It did good. I really enjoyed her shaking that ass with traction fully disabled. Lol

    Welcome to the forum!

    I really wouldn't lift that. I know the look is cool, but that will open up a can of worms with all kind of issues on your 4Runner. Especially at 3 in, that's about the max on these and does require new control arms. That's on models without the XREAS suspension though, yours having it adds complexity.

    I guess the 2" kit should be good then. Its only spacers but i was considered that it would bottom out without knowing changing the control arms.

    I’ve read about a few of these spacer lifts on the limited as I too was interested and saw a few guys stating they developed leaks afterwards. Whether it was because of that or coincidence I wouldn’t want to deal with that.
