    As in, you can drive without a seatbelt on and it does not beep?

    I believe that is behavior that can be co figured by the dealer. (or that Carista thing)

    If it was me I’d take the win (since it’s annoying driving from the apartment mail room to my building) but maybe you can get a dealer to turn it on either “warranty” or adjustment hopefully they don’t try to charge a fee to get it in the door.

    Ask the dealer service dept. ($$$)
    OBD2 app like Carista or Carscanner ($$)
    Good scan tool like the Xtool D8 ($$$-$$$$)
    If you get a tune like OTT or KDMax, the tuner can do it through his laptop. ($$$)
    Most expensive option of them all. May cost you your 4Runner and take decades off your life.
