I'm pretty sure they're all in the junkyard already, based on the attitude towards turbos around here. :D

Personally, I'm hoping for the best.

I think the 4 Runner will get a redesign with some Bronco themed items since it's worked for FORD and they stole some thunder from JEEP...

Haha! I'd love to have a 2-door Wrangler as a trail toy! But, I also have no interest in the Gladiator.

I think the 4runner is done. With the Land Cruiser coming back cheap(er) and the GX already so close in price, there's no room for segmentation. A new 4runner would be like 45k probably, so I doubt Toyota sees a point. It would be worse if it got turned into an economy sh!tbox

So, they're just going to dump a successful model and throw away a ton of sales? Makes sense.

There's nothing in that article suggesting that the 4Runner is going away.

One thing would be safe to say…..If the 4Runner line “dies” the value of them would immediately skyrocket.

I thought they were bringing the Venza back? Seemed like a nice little Wagon.

They brought Venza back. But not with same appeal as before.
Had the 2009 Venza. Sold at 240k miles. No Engine Oil leak but Burnt Oil like crazy. 4 Cyl Engine practically empty within 30 days of driving.

Yes, the 5th gen 4Runner is dead, after the 2024 model year.

The new 2025 6th gen 4Runner will be shown next week at the Toyota National Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas, Sept. 12-14.

Dealers are allowed two attendees each, check with your favorite dealership afterwards for leaks, no, not your average salesperson, they are always the last to know.

I'm looking forward to the leaks, mostly so we can stop listening to people speculate that they're killing the 4Runner off.

I'm also very curious what the dimensions will be. It seems like most people think it will be the exact same size as the LS250/GX, but I still think it would be nice if they made it the current size or a pinch smaller.

agreed. Smaller is better. Also will help distinguish 4Runner a bit more.

is Toyota the one company with gazillion suvs they offer ? They have an suv for everyone, seems they have flooded the market completely.

Why does this thread keep coming up? It's not 2023 and the 4runner hasn't gone anywhere, just like everyone said a year ago.
