Hey 4Runmer Community. Here are some Pictures of my 2023 4Runner Limited.

We are approaching 30kkms and have noticed small rust bubbles all over the body (showing up through the paint.

I have never had a new car do this before.

I'm going to raise this to the dealer next week..

I wonder if anyone has experienced this before.

    Welcome.
All cars will get some form of fallout contamination throughout ownership. It could be from rail dust during shipping or the big culprit is brake dust. White paint, especially pearl or metallic will show it the worst. An iron remover spray will take care of that easily. If you want to go an extra step or two, clay bar and paint correction.

Edit: I just noticed that they are bubbling and not just surface contamination. I would definitely bring it up to your dealer.

    Welcome to the forum.

Just from the pictures, That looks like rail rust from the original delivery that may have not gotten caught.

Looks like someone used a carbide grinder wheel near your vehicle. Cutting rebar or some other steel plate. That would leave those marks and bubble paint.

By the looks of the pics, it looks dirty…

A good wash, clay bar and ceramic coating would help prevent paint, especially white paint, from doing that

    Btw, welcome to the forum

As others are saying, I think that's rail dust or some other outside contamination as opposed to actual rusting panels.

Welcome from Wisconsin! That sucks about the paint. We have a white 4Runner, and from what I hear on the forum it's the worst for wear and tear. While there are a few chips from gravel roads, white has held up fine. I see rusty spots on yours, looks like metallic brake dust or grinding debris like has been mentioned.

I wouldn't touch it before taking it back to the dealership.
The tables could be turned on you.

Update. There is a recall. I have an appointment next week to review.

The car is dirty at the moment, we take great car of the vehicle and clean it often. In contrast to my 2010 Volvo that is rust free and hasn't seen a car wash in 6 months.

Do you have the recall number? I don't need it, but others on here might benefit.

Hope it all goes well for you!

    - So the 2023 4Runner Limited doesn't get washed either since purchased?
