What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Decided not to do a 20 inch light bar because I’m adding my diode Pro amber fogs lights eventually. So added the raptors lights in the place of the light bar. If the raptors lights fail and burn out then a bajadesigns light bar will go in.

 

Were the raptor lights difficult to install? I have a set NIB sitting at home, just haven't had the time to install them yet.

 

I swear my 2018 TRD OR did NOT have the hood insulation on it??? I just don't remember it being there when I cleaned the eng bay. Maybe I'm loosing it more then the Mrs. claims
1 of the reviews on the site where I bought mine from claimed that 1 didn't clip in correctly but he just let it go. I remember the 1's I installed on my 2018 4R that they are directional, i.e. yes they "will go in BUT if they don't snap in rotate 180" I tried it W/these that the reviewer commented on & yep they are designed to fit 1 way correctly.

 

Don, where'd you tap into pwr for them?

 

Easy. Took about hour because I’m anal. Lol.

 

The fuses inside under driver side. Add a fuse. Fourth one down ign. number 2. There on when the vehicle is on.

Sweet are you gonna get the cover that will accommodate the add on fuse & OEM cover? Or just leave it open like I did on my old 4R (bugged me not covered even though No big whoo) Jus anal like you too!

Like said previously I picked Tail so when "parking lights" I guess they're now DRL's in the new vehicles . rotated switch on TS stock past "Auto" they're on then my Brite Box is when I push switch! or use OEM only when lo beams on.

 

Had to return my morimotos rear smoked tail lights. Issue with driver side fitting. Give them one more chance and it don’t fit the next one I will send them back for a refund,

 

Man that would suck!! The ones I bought ,I was very impressed W/ hermetically sealed connectors & complete harness. I guess time will tell ,eh?

 

Yeah especially there $600 lights. They should fit perfectly. Also I have the smoked reverse light up top from Yota to put in yet.

Ordered some new speakers from Crutchfield. Be after NYD when I get them. Which is cool. Give me something on my days off next week.

Go to Morimoto’s web site they are the smoked rear tail lights and also got the sequential smoked mirrors lights. I will add them the same time as the puddle lights.

Haha ya, I needed it to work with their modular drawer system since the cabinets bolt into sliding brackets underneath the holes of their cargo floor.

Victory’s setup seemed like the best option for my desired stacked configuration. Stuff is pricey but high quality. Black Friday 20% off sale helped quite a bit.

 

Well we got the vehicle undercoated with the Honeyseal. Seems like a very good product. Yesterday, I pull my lift outside and did inside the frame front to back with the 3M Cavity Wax. Very easy to apply with there wands.

 

Take a small drill bit and drill a wire sized hole in the side. Insulate that part of the wire that will go thru the hole and it will shut perfectly. I'll put a photo up later.

 

This never quite fit, so I recessed it into the plastic a little. As a bonus it helps fix it in place and hides the shameful Auxbeam logo.

 

Gonna use it to take my wife shopping & dinner for her Bday

 

Meso custom lights showed up... BOTH the dome and map lights arent put together correctly and can't be installed.

 

I backed the car out and tried again to make sure I'm not stupid...

Nope, the outer lights on the map lights are on the wrong sides. And the dome light internals should be flipped 180*.

Now I get to see that great 4runnerlifestyle exchange policy.
