Does my year have a sensor in the spare tire.
My tires were at 27 PSI and I filled them to 35Psi.
Lptws light still on after 5 miles

If you have a Limited, probably. Other models, no.

You're right - sort of helpful. Some in that thread are sure they had it, others are sure they didn't.

Yeah, that's what people in the thread I posted said. Limited's and Night Shade trims have it (most of them, but not all). All other models: Highly unlikely.

This is why I love tire pressure monitoring systems. Good to know when a tire is low on air. Saves money also. I drive mainly dirt roads so rock-punctured tires are a fact of life. The TPMS warns me so I can change the tire before ruining tire or wheel from driving on it flat.

    Good to know.

Saves a lot of back and forth if you update your signature with the model and year.

True. However, it seems like it should also warn you if the tires are over-inflated. I picked up my '24 TRD OR last night and it seemed like it was riding a little firm. It turns out the tires are all set to 55 PSI cold.

This is a common complaint. It’s one more piece of evidence of how dealership wrench-turners don’t perform all of the steps in Toyota procedures. Even for the simplest of pre-delivery checklists:

No, My 2019 just puts the light up. You need to figure out what tire is at what pressure.

Yup. Us nineteeners and before have to go the extra mile to figure out which tire needs air. My light went on the other day and I discovered they all were low a few psi...brought them all up to snuff, and poof! light gone in 6 ft.

I'm not certain of this, but I think TPMS can be a bit forgiving on pressure if all the tires are at the same pressure, even if overinflated. I think it's more interested in low pressure and also large differences in pressure between tires. So all at 55 might be fine with that system. Someone else on here likely knows.
