Same. I don't follow the Packers as closely as I used to, but it seems like it would be a great experience. The energy from the crowd must be amazing!

Is Door County worth visiting? As for eastern WI we've visited Kohler and Milwaukee but haven't made it to Door Co. The Kohler factory tour was outstanding.

I haven't been there, but it's on my to-do list. I hear a lot of good things.

    I’ve heard good things too.

Grabbed a photo of the 40th before the snow fell. I plan to keep it garaged until Spring comes. The Bilsteins worked well. Added a set of gray Husky floor liners finally. Husky disappointed by cancelling my order after more than two months (and reneging twice on build dates): apparently they no longer offer liners in gray. I wanted gray to contrast with the black carpet and got lucky with a new set from a private eBay seller. Also added interior LEDs with red examples on the doors and front overhead.

Are you in Waukesha county? Could have sworn I saw a 40th the other day in the distance.

Well, just hit my first deer since moving to WI over 7 years ago.

I’ll get it checked out, but I think this is the biggest damage that I can see:

So definitely not as bad as @Thatbassguy.

Looks like an excuse to get real skids.

I've been driving here for 25 years and only hit 2 so far. :boink:

Edit: technically, one of those two hit me.

The funny thing is that I have trail damage on that silver piece on the passenger side.

If there is no other damage to it, then it is just more reason to get a new bumper and winch.

    6:25pm, give or take.

I had already seen deer, and was on alert, but this one surprised me.

Had a bunch of music equipment with me at the time - thankfully nothing got damaged.

    Used for what? IG photos?

I just noticed that was the valance that got scratched.

In fact, the skid looks pristine. Come to Tigerton next year and we'll fix that for you. ;)

Depends on the quality of the instrument. I could have gotten a pretty nice upright bass for what my incident cost.

I have a couple of scrapes on it - but not as much as the silver valance!

Definitely looking forward to my next Tigerton outing.

Already have one, but didn’t have it with me.

Glad my Mesa/Boogie combo amp didn’t go flying. That thing is a tank.

    Didn’t have that with me.

I had half of my bass stack, a guitar combo amp, a bass and a guitar.

Apparently, a bassoon is a very expensive instrument. I'm sure a high end upright bass is probably over $10K. But, a quick Google shows bassoon approaching $40K, which I have to guess is just not common for a bass.

Edit: after further googling, bassoon are just a lot more expensive than basses, on average.

I have a Mesa TT-800, and I have 12” and 15” Subway Ultra Lite cabs.

Out of every amp I’ve owned, guitar or bass, it is the easiest setup to get a great tone from.

My specific double bass isn’t made anymore, but would probably run about $3500-$4000 if I got one new. The next closest model is $5k.

I literally bought the bottom of the line one the builder offered. It’s a great bass, and I can only imagine how wonderful my ideal spec would sound.

My Damage ended up a little over $5K.

My Warwick was $4K in 1996. Looks like around $7744 in today money using an inflation calculator. I'm very lucky to have it!

That head seems similar to the Markbass head I use. I ran through a GK head and Behringer power amp for years, and finally got sick of lugging it around. I instantly learned that 800 watts of clean power was way better than 1200 watts of cheap power.

    I have 2 single 15 cabinets that I built.

    Cool setup.

The designer of the TT-800, and all of Mesa’s bass amps, was the designer of the Genz Benz bass amps that ultimately became what Fender used for their Rumble series - their first bass amps that are actually pretty good.

I pretty much use Mesa gear as my primary for bass and guitar, but have some stuff by Orange on hand for situations where I’m not feeling picky about tone.

I always liked Mesa/Boogie stuff. I used to dream of owning the road-ready powerhouse cabinet. But, by the time I could afford that kind of rig, it wasn't worth spending the money.

Plus, I'm actually very happy with these boxes. I went through several half-assed designs before I finally decided to use the specs of the drivers to figure out the ideal volume, port size, and port tuning frequency. The extra effort was well worth it, and these ones sound fantastic!

If I ever went with store bought gear, I'd probably go Mesa or Markbass.

    You don't want powerhouse.

I ended up with one because the online listing was wrong. Over 75lbs for a 15" speaker!

That being said, I would be all over the Powerhouse 1000 if someone else had to move it for me - it's a 15" speaker surrounded by four 10" speakers in a single cab. I use the Dynamic IR for it whenever I go DI only.

    Actually, I did.

It was the 1000 that I wanted, specifically. Back then, most worthwhile 4×10's were pushing 100# anyway. 137# for pure awesomeness would have been well worth it in my book.

I used to lug a 40" tall double 15 cab up and down 5 flights of stairs at the Sidney Hih building on a regular basis. Would I do it now? Hell no! But, back then we would do anything for a chance to play.

I didn't care about a few extra pounds. I just wanted to be loud.

My current cabs are probably 40-50# apiece and I'm definitely glad I separated the two drivers. But, I still think about making a single box again, just because.

I'd also like to build a 2×12 if I ever started playing out again.

Side note: One of the coolest cabs I've seen was the 1516, though. 15, 10, and 2-6's all in one box. That was one of best sounding cabinets I've seen.
