I have a problem with driver's side door that won't unlock with key or key fob. I can pull the lock button up manually, but it's still locked. Has anyone had this issue?

No. It doesn't make any noise at all. It is locked and can't be open w/key or key fob. I can pull the button up, but no effect...still locked. I had trouble w/my fob doing weird things, like unlocking inconsistently, unlocking the passenger door instead of the driver's door first and making unlock sound, but remain8ng locked. I was able to open with the key. Today, it's not unlocking no matter what I try; key, key fob, or auto unlock on door panel. When I manually pull up the tab for unlock, it stays up, but door is still locked. It started one day and quit functioning altogether the next. Thank you for the response and the link. Very much appreciated. Is an acuator expensive?

I bought some cheap stuff for my 2008 corolla door and the china parts worked fine. That was 3 years ago when I fixed the window and lock. OEM was a whole package for $200 bucks and I didn't even need everything they were trying to sell me. I really had no choice but to get the cheapo stuff

Thank you. Very helpful and appreciated. Also...any idea for replacing just the intermittent part of my wipers? Thank you.

I did this on an old accord, it ended up being the actual wiper stalk, grabbed one from a junk yard and all was good, $2 and a couple screws, took 5 min, I’d try that first

Again, thank you for your help and suggestions. I'm sorry - what did you mean by "actual wiper stock"? Assuming you're talking about the actual wiper arm, w/wiper controls?

Correct, you can find OEM online that were picked at junkers (bit pricey) or go aftermarket for cheaper https://www.1aauto.com/toyota-4runn...SjGVqY2qDv9wX0aEvg89fE31JhDs_yIUaApeaEALw_wcB

but the cheapest solution is just picking one yourself from a junk yard if you have the time. The above link also has a video of the swap, they remove the steering wheel, which I'm pretty sure you don't need to do, and would be dumb, but I'm not positive on the '00. here's a thread with pics for the other stalk, which is the way I would think you'd also tackle the windshield wiper stalk - it's just two screws and a plug once you get to it

it does appear that the ‘00-‘02 is different from the ‘96-‘99, which you’ll find is the case for a number of parts - just FYI
