    None…….yet!
Just purchased with 290K miles in pretty good condition…..I think……..I have 4 red X’s: CAT, EVAP, 02S, and HRT. The reader is an AutoLink AL319. Also, appears that fuel pump is inoperative. I checked all the associated fuses and relays…even switched them around without success. Any way to test before I remove the tank and install a new pump? Thanks in advance….

You need to find out what the actual codes are. CAT and EVAP could be anything. O2S doesn't tell you which OS sensor might be having issues. And I have no clue what HRT is. Can you drill into those to see what the actual codes are? Without those, you are throwing parts at the problem without knowing what the actual problem is.

How have you determined that the fuel pump isn't working? You say you just bought the vehicle, did it have these issues when you bought it or did they just happen? I assume you can't drive it and towed it home?

What xtremewlr said. A red X isn’t a code, it’s an indication that a code exists. It’s not much different from telling the doctor “I hurt”. The code is your vehicle telling you where and how it hurts. So you need to get the codes.

You would think that HRT should be HTR but it has to do with a heater problem with an oxygen sensor or a "hot restart" problem, which could be related to a failed fuel pump or any of the emission systems. Why do you say the "fuel pump is inoperative"? Did you buy this vehicle when it was not running?

The codes could all be for the same problem. I do see "FUE" which I imagine refers to the fuel system in some way. It has a green check mark.

Yes, many times, multiple codes are set because of one main failure. Start with the basics. Get a fuel pressure reading and if you can't do so because you have no pressure gauge, watch a few you tube videos to get an idea how to do it and find a parts store that will rent you a fuel pressure gauge. Fuel is nothing to mess with if you are mechanically challenged. If you are unsure, have a qualified tech do the work. I have had vehicles towed to my shops after failed attempts at testing or replacing "guesswork" vehicle problems. Fuel can be a safety problem.
