I would definitely like to meet to wheel - but since I don't know any of y'all I figure a pre-meeting would be good. haha.

@fajitas21 you should put something together for when you are in town!

Actually! I cooked breakfast for the guys with Jake on Friday morning before you graced us with your presence.

I will say, however, it wasn't as good as your fajitas stuff.

3 inch lift, 33 inch tires, and lots of DAY stuff cause I'm cheap.
I don't know if y'all are into it, but here in dallas there are HUGE car meets that we can show up to and take up a whole line for our Runners. That would be a good Meet up that wouldn't be as awkward.

I took a pack of hotdogs and hotdog buns to Jambo with me. Just gotta have enough to survive. I was more concerned about what alcohol to take.

Hang out with the Golden Triangle group, you won't go hungry. Jake brought a straight up grill (full size) and we had everything from eggs and omelets to fajitas (yea i know) to boudin, sausage, and hotdogs.

We know how to rough it :)

Haha - that's awesome! That's my kinda camping. I slept in my 4Runner - that worked way better than I expected it to. Best sleeping while camping I've ever done! Only issue is shifting everything around to make room to sleep. Since I didn't have anyone sitting in the backseat I ended up leaving it laid down with my air mattress back there. Easy Peasy!

I haven't done that but I almost did once. The only part that is a pain is clearing out the space.

Was it stuffy or did you leave windows down? These seem like a good idea to keep bugs out but let you not suffocate due to lack of air.

I didn't have to roll the windows down at all! The weather was perfect. I guess I have to have a new plan for when I go during warmer weather. Honestly I feel like the weather couldn't have been any more perfect for Jambo. Cool at night - nice during the day (but not too hot). it was great! Idk why I'm SO opposed to a tent but I'm probably gonna have to get over that at some point. haha. But I slept SO great on my little air mattress in the back. Since it was just me (and my dog) it was easy enough. With 2 people it would be totally different I'm sure.

Yea, my wife and I haven't tried to sleep in the 4Runner, but I'd imagine it would be cramped. We have a 2 year old also, so I'm not even sure where I'd put him :)

I will agree, the weather there was as good as May is gonna give you. Lower humidity than here, perfectly comfortable at night and only on Saturday did it finally even get a bit too warm. Even then, it was mid 80s...the reason it was too warm was cause my fat @$$ was having to walk up those trails to get photos and spot people and that was a workout.

I used a twin size mattress and it took up more of the back than I expected. In my head I thought I would only have to fold down the larger side of the back seat - but I had to fold both sides down. I honestly wasn't even sure how my dog was going to fit in there with me - but we made it work. I don't see myself camping with a second person any time soon so this will be my solution unless it gets too hot! In that case - it would be hot in a tent too so I might just stay home. lol I'm thinking with a wife and a toddler it just wouldn't work!

Saturday got a little warm - I was only uncomfortable while watching the "race" and watching my cohorts try to make it up Twister. Each time I kept trying to find some shade to stand in so I wouldn't melt.

Next Pistons car show, February 4th, 2024 8am-1030am. I’ll have my tuning software as usual. The Toyota crew parks in the back. Drive in the entrance, go strait back toward the left, then back row is Toyota/Lexus land. See y’all there.
