Any other supporting performance mods? What was your total investment? Any issues along the way?

Nope.$8500 Canadian. No issues so far. Its 100 more HP than stock. Pre dyno runs were around the 250 mark.

$5700 USD, it's so tempting. Much less than I originally thought they would cost.

Maybe adding on snorkels and some skid plates and rock sliders? Well as long as you'll use it then it's definitely worth it

Those are not supporting mods of a supercharger but yeah, they help offroad.

I have a tacoma that is built pretty good for off road. This is my wife’s rig.

4runner does better off road than Tacoma imo. 4runner has a shorter wheel base therefore more breakover angle

That really depends. Out of the box I would agree but it all depends on how much $$ is dumped into them. I do know my old Trail addition was more capable with a 3” lift and 285’s than any other comparable Tacoma.

Interesting to hear you had 250hp on the dyno. I used an OBD2 reader with a hp monitor and got 251 to the wheels. Surprised the little thing was that close to real dyno results.

Odd... odd you bring up the OBDII deal. I just nabbed and hooked one up yesterday. Amazing it can do all that, so cheap, and easy. Tech has gone so ape shit.... my grandpa would wig out these days

    No unfortunately no blower, yet.

I was assuming @Slainte was saying his pre blower results on the dyno were 250hp, which coincides with what my OBDII reader told me I was getting.

I know these engines are only supposed to get 270hp at the crank, and with drivetrain loss I was surprised it was readying 250hp. I could be wrong and Slainte was saying he was getting 250hp to the wheels post blower, which seems like way too much drivetrain loss.

I had to reread his post and realize it now. D’oh!

An 8% loss through the driveline sounds a little low. I would expect 15% and maybe a tick more with the transfer case in line.

BTW, saw some of your guys at the building today. I did not know you all had tactical chainsaws and chop saws.

You are right. 250 at wheels before blower.

Yes. 91 octane. There are a few places around that sell 94.I'll try a few tank fulls and record the results but I'm pretty sure 91 will be going into it 99% of the time.

This post is not about something I have done, but rather something I want to do. We just completed a trip from Seattle to Boise and back...First trip with summer weather (was 70 to 80 deg) in our 2018 Runner.. Love driving with the rear window down and the roof open!. The problem is with the faux leather seats. My wife reports her back was sweating because they don't 'breath'. I recall those cool-cushion devices that you would put on top of the seat that would allow air to circulate under you worked pretty well. They had a lot of springs inside...My concern is damaging the seats.
Anyone have luck with a particular product? Thanks for sharing - Clay

Why not trade the leather seats for cloth ones with someone looking to swap their cloth out for leather?

See that's what I'm saying, 8% does seem low, but with two different dyno methods I guess that's what we're getting? I also expected the 15-20% and possibly more due to my tire size.

We have all kinds of things to open up stuff, the torch is by far the most fun. We put on demo's quite a bit, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue to come check it out.

It was very easy. Plastic caps pop off, (2) 12mm bolts under each. I cleaned the area under them while they were off and put some thread sealer on the bolts when I put them back in since they're bottomless holes. Hole goes all the way through so figured thread sealer was a good idea. There was a red thread sealer on them from the factory which was still soft, not a Loctite kind of product.
