So I am new the the forum my question is probably repetitive, please don't h hate ,So a couple of hours ago I finished putting on half of the King shock lift on the rear.HOW DO YOU get nut tight on top of the rear shock.it appears the rod is just turning.Instructions be were not clear ..It to only says to have 1/8 inch of rod coming up thru nut .But how do you get it tight there is no where to hold on to shock.Any info or thread redirects would be appreciated.thx you

If you hold the shock body, does that help keep the threaded post from turning?

Does the threaded rod have a squared top that you could hold with a wrench?

Is there a place for an allen key on the top of the shaft?

Typically all you need to do is hold the shock body with your hand or a strap wrench. Not sure about Kings though.

You can also bend the sheet metal back to get more access.

From TW: Let the axle drop and pull on the nut, the weight usually stops them from spinning.

If that isn't enough, try soft jaw pliers e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Tsunoda-WP-300SC-S-PLA-iers-spring-12-inch/dp/B0756KZ6WQ/

What happened when you tried holding the shock body while trying to tighten the nut?

See 4:52 of this video. Is this the same rear shock you have?
