If you get a white 4R, you're gonna need some way to identify it from the 10,000 other white 4Rs out there in any given parking lot. :0 Ask me how I know!

    LOL

Nope, I'd just put black rims and KO's on it so there's no identity issues

That's what mine has, but, in a parking lot, you generally just see the upper half of the car. :/

I can’t imagine paying a dime more than I had to to get a particular color. These things sometimes turn out to be fads, which can torpedo your resale value. Others have mentioned the importance of patience, and they are absolutely right. Impatience is the reason I drove one of those metallic teal Saturns for six years. It was the only one on the lot, new stock was a few months out, and noooooo, I just couldn’t wait. :p

I disagree look at the 2015 2016 2017 (inferno quicksand and cement) and pretty much every pro except that hideous lime rush they are all still sought after and people pay top dollar

I'm in no rush to purchase any car unless I feel the price is fair. I walked on the first lunar rock so I do have some will power left.

We've been considering the new "underground" color as well. A dealer informed me they have one in transit that's due this week so hopefully I'll get a chance at it this weekend. I'm not opposed to white but the storm trooper look is cookie cutter. My tacoma already has the ST look and I'd prefer something aesthetically different.

I just purchased a '23 Lunar TRD ORP for $45k. . . although it helped that I knew someone at that particular dealer. They originally showed me a $47,999 price, but when I showed them another local dealer "manager special" pricing of $43k on some white and metallic gray TRD ORP's, we agreed on $45k. The one selling theirs for $43k had quite a few and were trying to make room for the 24's that are coming in. It also doesn't hurt to ask if there are any they are willing to sell at invoice. . . if they get their money and adds to their sales count, some will do it.

People seem to throw this "costco membership" deal around a bit. I can easily become a costco member to save $5-7k off msrp.

Please enlighten me on the process of walking into a dealer and walking out with an ORP for $46k in California? I can't even find an ORP with an MSRP below $48k so this costco deal has my attention.

Yeah, I went on to Costco Auto website, entered my search and a dealer got assigned to me. Before long I got a call from the said dealer, went there to see what they had available, made my choice, then they handed out a costco price sheet, which was 1k less than what the sticker was if I remember correctly. I do not know if it is still a thing but I got an additional 750$ off through Keep it Wild savings. It was a Seattle dealer btw.

    Thank you for clarifying.

I'd assume it would match you with the closest dealer or do you get to pick the dealer?

Youre welcome. I dont know exactly how they pick a dealer, but the one I was sent to was pretty close. But you cannot pick the dealer.

Ha! If you think black wheels and KO2's are going to make a 4Runner stand out, you're about to be really disappointed. ;)

I really didn't think I'd like that color until I saw it in person. On a sunny day, it looks awesome!

    Congrats that’s a steal!

not to hijack but I swear every other 2023 4Runner they pumped out is a lunar rock lol they probably just said yolo fuck it at the factory lol. On Reddit pretty much every “my new 4Runner” thread is a lunar rock not saying it’s a bad thing just find it funny that they flooded the market at the very end

It does seem like they did that. Way more people taking delivery of LR 4Runners in the past two months. Probably needed to clear out that vat of paint. ;) It's a great color though.

New member here, but have been lurking for a while as I contemplate a 4R ORP purchase.

does Yota do December sales? Really hoping for a good financing rate, like what Lexus is doing - 2.49% on the GX

on the other hand, I am seeing $4k discount from Denver area dealers.

Had dealers telling me another $1k off if financing through Toyota. Didn't do the math to see how much that offset the rate, but not insignificant. Didn't realize Lexus was doing 2.49% on the GX. I'd jump on that if a dealer would sell me a Nori Green Pearl for $10k under

The December sales is called Toyotathon. It offers some better incentives but not a whole lot more

Had no idea Costco has a car buying program. Interesting.

Sounds you made it a 'December to Remember' for her.

From what the person reported, the Costco deal is much less than some dealer advertised discounts

i highly doubt this. I don’t think MY2025 will be out in April-June.

most likely October-November of next year at the very earliest

While that is possible, you might want to find out for yourself. The other thing about the Costco Car Buying program, is that the buyer avoids the head games played by the salesperson and sales manager. Not to mention the pressure for add ons in the finance manager's office. All of these are avoided. And everyone knows time is money. What is your time worth?

Hmm I am seeing $4k discount off msrp. So will have to see how much savings Costco is offering

I’d say any additional savings above $1k is worth the hassle

    bone stock for now
Pros seem hard to come by, but reach out to Harley Wells at Longo Toyota- 626-376-4438

They have a ton of stock and are super easy to deal with.

I drove a rental down to LA area and drove my new 4runner home just last Thursday.
