    Hi,

I recently got this '07 4runner with knowledge that the frame had pretty concerning rust on the bottom. Is it too rusty too drive? IF not, can she be saved at all?

Most of the rust is on non-strcutural things as you can see in the photos, curious what the community thinks! Rest of the car is perfect. IMG_5081.jpg IMG_5081.jpg IMG_5081.jpg IMG_5082.jpg IMG_5081.jpg IMG_5082.jpg IMG_5084.jpg IMG_5085.jpg IMG_5086.jpg

You really need to re-assess what you think non-structural is.

Sadly, that is... Pretty bad. Anything can be "fixed" but you might spend 10 grand on the frame and still have an iffy patchwork frame. How much did you pay, if you don't mind my asking?

A pretty significant amount of the frame is completely missing where the transmission crossmember mates to the frame side rails. Unfortunately, that’s bad news. If no other areas are missing from the frame, eventually the transmission weight breaks the cross member, and the trans will drop down, making the radiator fan crash into the radiator.

I hope you got it super cheap cause a new frame will cost big money.
