You will have to source your own wheel and most likely the switch.

For sure, would totally expect that. Just looking for an alternative to dealing with the wiring or clock spring myself.

Now I just hope he accepts my Insta request.

I love my heated steering wheel. Thought it was such a silly option until I had one.

Better to have heat than not but the wheel isn't heated between ~11-1:00 unlike my Suburban and the power has to be activated every time the car is started unlike the heated seats, which are set and forget. I'd suggest a mod that allows the heated wheel to be set and forget like the seats.

I wonder what the total cost of that retrofit will cost.

I have access to a cheap used steering wheel from FB marketplace - exact same as my 2015 SR5P. I was planning to buy it, remove the leather and add aftermarket heating pads to it and re-wrap with aftermarket cover. Then swap it with my current steering wheel. Would definitely be cheaper than buying a whole new factory heated steering wheel. Then I would have an OEM steering where the whole steering wheel is heated and not just parts of it like from the factory. Hopefully when Old Red comes out with his kit I would be able to power it up somehow with factory parts. Fingers crossed! Gotta wait to see what he came up with!

I doubt it. I know every time I'd touch a cold part of the wheel I'd be reminded how cheap toyota is

Watching this thread. Missing the heated wheel from my BMW. So this will be a must upgrade.

People can't text and post on social media all the time when they're wearing gloves.

LOL. I just had to ask the question. Today, most people probably don't even own a pair to drive with. I'm one of those who refuses to text while driving.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
My Alpinestar summer motorcycle gloves are the ticket for me.

I'm curious to know the total cost of this would be. From what I've read you would need to purchase a steering wheel, clockspring, relay and the custom harness. I am assuming close to $2000? If anyone has purchased all parts to do this retrofit, would you care to share? I am doing my own version of this mod and curious to know about the parts used to help with what I'm doing. TIA!

I haven't purchased all of the parts yet, but its looking like around $1200 based on some parts departments i've checked. Could be a lot less if you can find a wrecked '23

Gotcha! (I was thinking Canadian dollars). Would you mind listing the OEM part numbers required? I came across a hiccup on my mod and hoping to know the part numbers required will help me finish what I've done so far. Specifically looking for the black connector that plugs into the clockspring.

What’s is the price of that harness, does anyone know? Second time I try to see and / or get a harness but the site is like locked out… feel like I’m trying to order a unicorn.

Am I the only one that thinks the 4Runner heated wheel sucks? The last four vehicles I've had the entire wheel is heated.

For some reason Toyota only did half the job on the 4Runner and it's the wrong half! I tend to drive with one hand somewhere near the top of the wheel where it's not heated.
