So I switched from the Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/70/17 to BFG KO2 265/70/17 w/ a “C” Load rating. Does my recommended PSI remain the same at 32 PSI as stated on the door placard? They put 41 PSI all the way around that’s why I’m wondering.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
The door sticker is for the OEM's that came with your truck. Go by the recommendation that Nitto has.; 41PSI.

I got rid of the Nittos but you are saying go with 41 PSI on the new BFGoodrich even though they are the same size but different load rating.

If you were on P rated tires at 35 psi, you would now be at 47 psi for a C rated tire.

I'm pretty dumb not understanding those tire psi charts but regardless the size of 265/70R17, 275/70R17, 285/70R17, 245/60R20, 275/55R20 I preffer to run 34ish psi on Standard Load and Load C tires.

Since the ride quality is harsh on Load E tires I ran closer to 32psi but wish I could run lower for better comfort.

Thats exactly where I am at on comfort. BTW…. Spoke to Michelin/ BF Goodrich rep today and for a 2023 4Runner TRD Pro running the 6 ply KO2s they recommend 40 PSI for everyday driving.

Are the Nittos good tires? I have crappy Bridgestone Duellers on my '23 ORP and am looking for new tires that can handle snow and some off-road that I may do. The price point for the Nittos is intriguing to me. I have also been looking at Goodyear Wrangler All Terrains and Duratracs as well.

I only had 4500 miles on mine and they were fine. Getting rid of them so early made no financial sense, I just wanted the more aggressive looking KO2s. The only time I found them to be a lil tricky was wet weather which is par for the course on A/T tires. I heard that they start getting really rough around 30K miles. Note I am talking about the Terra Grapplers (Hybrid Terrain) that came with the TRD Pro. I have heard good things about the Ridge Grappler which is a true A/T tire.

I have the LT load Ridge Grapplers and they’ve been great. Most of my off road involves sharp rocks so that’s why I went with E load

Did you type by accident? Shouldn't it be Nitto Terra Grapplers that came with the TRD Pro are A/T and Nitto Ridge Grapplers are Hybrid Terrain?

I stand corrected…. I thought this entire time I had a hybrid tire because it was so smooth riding and everything I have read about the Ridge grappler made it sound like it was a competitor for the KO2 or Toyo A/T3. I just figured out the definition of hybrid being mud / AT…. I thought it was highway/ AT.

I had my KO2’s swapped on new at purchase and the dealer aired them up to 40 PSI
