I have the N-Fabs on my Taco and Predator on my 4R. Both will certainly have an impact on ground clearance...If this is your primary concern, you should opt for sliders instead. Clay

Its something that will affect my descion, but i am not rock crawling yet, and probably wont for awhile. However i need something that will allow people who ride in my truck easier, and something to protect against doors are top priority. Besides having a 3 inch lift will help counter the clerance issue.

Just installed 3 inch N-Fab nerf bars last night. I really love the flushed look against the 4runner than a little gap.

with a basic socket wrench it took about 15 min each side, maybe less to remove stock and bolt on nerf bars. i had my cousin help holding up the bar up when bolting on the nerf bars thouh because the bolts go in a little diagnoal instead of straight up. youll see

I’m sure that’s the case. You could hold them in place before securing just to be sure.

Just some stuff to make mall crawling easier.
20171124_160628.jpg 20171124_160345.jpg Just picked up our 2018 SR5 Premium last week and the first thing it got was some slider/steps from RCI. Perfect height for the wife and the kick out on the rear acts as an even better platform for the rear seat access.

3" NFab's. Don't know if you still need to see these.

I really like them...hides the underbody lines, and rugged/practical steps. Well placed especially for back passengers. I don't use them much for front, but use them a lot for roof access.

I have had both on my 4Runner. I sold the N-fabs when the Predators became available. I find them more useful as a step. The N-fab front step was placed too far forward for me, especially getting out. I love how they look, though. The Predators are aluminum I think, which is helpful if rust is a concern. I recommend the Predator steps from my experience. Good luck.

Probably is, i was looking at my old mans tundra with the old predators from 2015, and look exactly like n-fab same everything. I wonder if toyota use to offer nfab just with their name on it

So these look like the 2 inch bar... which should be part #T1464R

I chose the 3 inch bar which covers the gap in between which is part #T1360R

i would not think they would have a diffrence? other than just a bigger tube. Also not the best pic but these look like nfab that are the old toyota predators if this is the case after measureing they provide no diffrence from my current boards

I totally wondered the same thing. These look like a lower drop for the step. I think they look great! Maybe the difference between the 2” and 3” tube???

So I’ve seen this several times now about the Nfab v. Predator as far as being too far forward step on the Nfab.

If I may ask, how tall are you? I’m only 5’9” and I wonder if personal height has something to do with it. I know odd question but I’m about to place an order within next couple of days on one of these two and just trying to see what the factor is in the difference for some...I just hate wasting money.
