Anyone have a buzzing noise coming from the 4 wheel drive shifter?

    I had this and, when researching, found posts where people mentioned a plastic piece was found underneath the top cap inside the shifter.

    I also heard it when the airplay/ charging cable is resting against it but I was sure it also did it when the cable was not there.

    For the past couple months, the noise is gone.... unless the cable is resting against it.

    I've never heard of this before. I'll keep this in mind if I ever develop a mystery noise in the shifter. Thanks for posting this!

    I had a horrible noise once. Was driving me batty.

    Turned out that ice inside a stainless steel water bottle was vibrating at the exact wrong frequency thanks to being in the cup holder.

    I have my knob removed right now due to this, I am going to open the knob up sometime and secure everything, if something is loose.

    Yes it also vibrates when i put my hand on it when 4WD isnt on .

    So, I was waiting in the truck one day and picked up a gas receipt and ripped of a small piece about 1.5" x 3/4" and folded it over the shifter threads and screwed on the knob and guess what...no more noise!

    Had this same issue, it was the knob rattling for me...loose plastic inside. Had it replaced under warranty when I was in for a service.
