    So my trial ends in a couple months and Toyota’s website is so hard to decipher but if I understand everything correctly, I have to purchase Remote Connect even if I just want to use the key FOB to remote start my 4R . (I also like getting iPhone notifications if a window is down or a door is left unlocked) Price $80/year

    I wanted Safety Connect to get the USAA discount for stolen car location service (the recently added wording excluding air tags and said it has to be an actual service such as On Star to qualify). Price $ 80/year

    So if my understanding is correct I’m looking at $160. Is that how you folks interpret the Subscription Services?

    Yep. You have it exactly right - except that you do NOT have to have Remote Connect to use the FOB to start your vehicle. But, without Remote Connect you won't be able to start it with the App (ie you'll have to be within FOB range) - you will only be able to do remote start with the FOB.

    I just kept my remote connected on my 21 tundra. I will do the same on my 23 when it runs out.

    Forgot to add in my note above that we do keep Remote Connect and Safety Connect active on our 22 Limited 4x4. And, we keep Safety Connect active on our 21 Venture.

    About Safety Connect -
    Ken mentions USAA's credit above. We have USAA as well and that credit helps offset the cost of Safety Connect. We see that as a good investment and a bit of peace of mind on late night trips coming back from work (we live in the country and commute to a city about a hundred miles away to work).

    About Remote Connect -
    We're in the south and it gets really hot here. The wife likes to start her Limited when she's out of FOB range in places like the mall or Walmart. So, Remote Connect is something that we'll keep too on the Limited (that system isn't on the Venture - didn't have remote start, even with the FOB, had to add it myself).

    Thanks Brad…. Not to change the subject …but as a heads up keep track of what your annual mileage per vehicle is being billed on your policy. Even though the USAA App lets you enter what you believe your annual mileage will be; they have once again outsourced to a 3rd party (Verisk) who will automatically enter a much higher mileage estimate if you don’t mail back their notice or go to their crappy website and follow the prompts….ugh!!

    I have;

    1. Safety connect - for vehicle location and other safety stuff in case of emergency
    2. Dynamic navigation - to keep my navigation upto date (since I don't trust phone outside of city when there's no cell service even if I have offline google maps)
    3. Remote connect - So I can use my phone to start and check other things like if the doors are locked, windows closed, etc..

    Do all 2023's have remote start built in for use with the fob or is it just certain models.

    I maybe wrong but I only think it’s the Pro’s. Maybe someone else can chime in about that. I read where a member had the off Road premium and did not have it.
