Well, I can tell you you can take the ignition apart on a 89 Toyota pick up and get it started but, you can’t break the steering wheel lock.

It’s that time of year again. Venison and squirrel on the table? Not for me, I guess I will be digging through the trash cans at the butcher shop.

I do a thing we call "The Phantom Restaurant": an unscheduled, sporadic event where I do a dinner from soup to nuts! People rarely know even the theme, although are fairly obvious (St. Paddy's Day, Halloween, Cinco de Mayo. I print up menus which they receive at the door.

WOOOPS....Yes, I meant Naan. My Error. There's an Indian restaurant near me that makes it in the original type clay ovens. And you can order it topped with garlic butter and string peppers.

My ex tried many times to get me to go to an Indian restaurant before I finally agreed. I felt like such an idiot after I found out how good everything was! It is one of my favorite types of food. Lamb Shahikorma is my go-to.

Now I'm just thinking about how long it's been since I've had Indian food. We used to get it every month or so when I lived with my ex, but that ended almost 2 years ago. I need to find a place in my new neighborhood!

I have a friend who is of the Salish Tribe and runs a Native American food truck on the Yakama Rez. Makes great NDN Tacos, etc. Drove down last weekend and got two (The puppy gets one w/o veggies and we shared one). He also had Huckleberry Shortcake (Fry bread topped with cream cheese, HUCKLEBERRIES, and whipped cream= TO DIE FOR!!!).

    Here's a pic of Travis:

    upload_2023-9-28_10-1-26.png

    Me with an NDN Taco:

    upload_2023-9-28_10-2-51.png

Faith with hers (Good to the last lick!)

    upload_2023-9-28_10-4-22.png

Don't worry! Faith completely cleaned the backseat AND the floor!!

I think the next Phantom Restaurant will be Native American food: Fry bread, NDN Tacos, huckleberry/blueberry fry bread shortcake!!! Wish I had an elk roast to make the chili or a lamb roast even!

Even if she didn't, dogs get a free pass to mess up the car. I don't know how many times I've cleaned dirty paw prints off of my interior, and it never bothers me. :)

Before Faith, I had GSPs, a couple of which we used for bird hunting!

Also guided on wild pigs while in grad school and the head guide had Rhodesians to hunt with and one of my GSPs was used to track wounded pigs and deer a couple of times.

I KNOW about muddy paw prints! They dry up and can be shaken/beaten off the floor mats and vacuumed from the seats. :amen::amen::amen:

Also, a surplus US Army blanket makes a pretty good seat cover for her!
