Anyone have any pictures of a lunar rock 4Runner with the matte gray TRD Pro wheels? I’m buying a 2023 lunar rock ORP so I can sell my 2015 classic silver TP with only 60,000 miles on it to my daughter in Denver 1f60a_b47f6a3b34b1670048ed93f46c687ebf672271e8.png and I’m thinking that it might be nice to change it up 1f44d_e8c6b0af832d7592bd135ff646ffa7f6a1dd914f.png Any downside on the width or offset with the TRD Pro wheels? Do you switch over the TPS or would it be easier to sell the take-off wheels with them and buy new ones and how expensive are the TPS? TIA 1f600_b6852b28bfb05dfe5ab43672afdf711233b68289.png

Welcome. Look at the bronze TRD wheel option also. It would look really good against Lunar Rock.

I've been looking for a set of the Trail Special Edition gray wheels but they seem to be as rare as hen's teeth :(

Offset is better imho but the caveat is that they are 7" wide. If you plan on sticking with stock size tires, they are fine (might need to do a fender liner mod like they do to Pro's at the port when they swap the Pro wheels on). Just be aware that 7" width is below the recommended width for 285/70/17 if you might go to that tire size. (and yes, people do it but it is still worth mentioning so that people can make an informed decision).

Another option would be FN wheels who make a TRD-pro look-alike but 8" wide and with a 0mm offset (Pro's are +4mm, TRD ORP wheels are +15mm)...not sure if they have gray though

You and me both! I found 2 sets but they didn't want to ship womp womp. And to buy them from the dealer they are almost 2x the price of the pro rims

Yes, you are correct so after much research I am looking for a set of 17x7.5 charcoal ORP wheels from a 2021-22 4Runner Trail Special Edition. You can buy new ones from Bam Wholesale for $1700 but that's still more than I want to spend if I can find a nice set of used ones :frustrated:2022_toyota_4runner_wheels_rims.jpg

The "Trail" (Dark ORP) wheels are expensive now because they were true factory content - never offered as an accessory (like either one of the pro wheels).
If the COLOR is your priority - Toyota offers the old-but-actually-new-again Pro wheel in Gunmetal (PTR20-35110-G4).
If the WHEEL SHAPE is your priority - get an ORP wheel and look at re-coloring it (hydrodipping / powdercoating / etc)

Are you planning to buy from dealership? IIRC when I was thinking about it they were charging obscene amount and buying it online myself was cheaper. That is what I did.
I did not go with pro wheels because:
    1. too common
    2. if you want 285/70/17 its not recommended
    3. time and again folks complain how hard it is to clean.

Went with method -- no issues with offset like some of the other, arguably better looking aftermarket wheels. And can take the bigger tires should I decide to upgrade in the future.

Great color choice btw! I love how unique lunar rock is.

No after much research I decided I really didn't want the Pro wheels in gunmetal - I want to keep the 17 x 7.5 ORP wheels. Fortunately I have found a take-off set from a 2021 Trail Special Edition and I should have them by the end of the week. She replaced them with black Pro wheels and I'm just not a fan of black wheels but that's just me and to each their own. I think that these dark ORP wheels will look sharp and set my 4Runner off a little from the other lunar rock ones out there :)

Don't think that you could go wrong with Method wheels - top shelf I believe :)

I thought about the ORP wheels to for 17s. I see new for $500 on Facebook. I thought about getting those and having a different color finish put on. I like cheap and functional.
