I am upgrading all my lights with Diode Dynamics. After doing the interior bulbs in blue (it looks so cool at night), I felt confident enough to brighten my puddle lights too. This was easy and went smoothly the driver's side! But I ran into a problem in the pass. side where the screw is somehow rusted in the plastic, so I can't get it off. Has anyone ran into this issue? I dowsed it good with PB blaster and hoping for the best in the morning... unless there is another way to get to that housing without dismembering the covers...?

Which bulbs did you replace to have the blue effect? Do they come in red? I kind of have a red theme going would be nice if there is red available.

Yes they have red! I actually went with white, but I noticed the bulbs for one of the interior lights was exactly the same as the puddle, so I *could've* done blue, but I thought it would be a bit much. Here's some pics. The blue is not as bright, it is more like a blacklight which is cool. I imagine the red would be hella sweet all around! 20230909_200616.jpg 20230909_200441.jpg 20230909_200249.jpg 20230909_200137.jpg

After an hour of drilling out the old one and putting a slightly bigger screw in, yes I did! It was a mess... hoping it won't give me issues if I ever need to open it up again :angrygirl:

Since it’s going into plastic, why not replace with stainless? I probably wouldn’t do that with bolts you’ll put a lot of torque on, but should be fine for light fixture screws

Nice, easy to replace? For the doors do you need to take the door card off or is it possible just to pop off just the light fixture?

I used a stainless steel screw, living in the Snow Belt, I knew it would just get even worse if I didn't! Should be ok but I'll probably open it up to check before winter

All the interior lights are very straightforward. Just need a plastic trim tool to pop off the lenses from the outside corners. But the map lights are kind of a pain, they are really stuck in there and with not a lot of room to work with. Even my little lady fingers couldn't get a good grip on the OEM bulbs (not to mention they get HOT). I used tiny zip ties to tighten around the base of the bulb and carefully pull on them with needlenose pliers. Gave me enough leverage to pop them out
