    wow. That is bad lol
Reminds me of when I changed my mother in law’s filter earlier this year. She hadn’t had it changes in years!!! She wanted a good cheap one so got her a Wix Cabin air filter https://amzn.to/480u7i1 for like $14. Fit her 4Runner like a glove and looked and felt great. Not sure what filter you use but I’m probably gonna try this one next. Typically I’ve used the Fram Fresh breeze https://amzn.to/44Km2LK which also fits like a glove and feels like good quality and has baking soda and carbon in the filter media but is like $19

definitely pumped to try the Wix filter next and see if I notice a $5 difference in my breathing experience while driving

While I had started my home graphene coating project a few days ago, but my yard blower was broken and getting it good and dry with the contact of a cloth was not desirable, I started it again today. I'm taking a break from the synthetic clay bar after doing the roof and hood. I'm about 12 years into the earliest symptoms of multiple sclerosis. I'm good most of the time, but I'm paying the price right now :D. Yeah, this is going to take me three or four days, won't it? Doh!

I would rather go through all this than paying a trained monkey $1,400 to grind off the top 10% to 20% of my thin white paint.

Yeah, I hadn't changed it in years either, haha. For whatever reason, I just completely forget that it's there and needs changed. I maintain everything else like clockwork, but I just never remember the cabin filter exists or needs changed. When I took mine out I couldn't believe that big ass leaves could even end up in there, I expected dust and dirt and shit like that. I sent my brother a picture and he said he hasn't seen one that bad in a long time (he's a dealership tech). HA.

I usually use just whatever they have at AutoZone or O'Reilly's. As of right now AutoZone only carries STP and a few Wix, and O'Reilly's has some brand I've never heard of. Wix is definitely good though, I used to always use their coolant filters on my old F-350 diesel. I'm sure you won't notice a difference between em, but if you do definitely post it up on here. I know I'm breathing better than I was yesterday!

I keep a couple of cabin and engine filters for both the RAV4 (wife) or 4Runner on hand. Either Framm or Wix from Amazon. Seem to work fine. I change them after our semi-annual trips to SoCal and AZ.

awesome. I did t pay much attention at first but Wix made in US. Doesn’t have the carbon or backing soda like the Fresh Breeze but I guess unless you have an odor issue the Wix for $5 cheaper and. Add in US will be good. That will be my next one

my younger niece recently pooped herself in my back seat so I definitely need the carbon/baking soda filter for now lol

addendum: apparently Wix is US based company out of Gastonia North Carolina but the engine air filter I just ordered says Made in China

    SOB !!!

Not at all. You don't want the micro passages to get any kind of debris in them, or they won't work properly. I change my oil every 3,750 or 6 months. Oil is cheap. Engine replacements are expensive. People that tell you you are wasting money on oil changes doing it that often, are the same types that will buy a $125,000 Mercedes, but use regular unleaded instead of high test, because gas is too expensive.

An ozone generator would probably solve the problem permanently. I don't know if Nevada has limits on buying them. Could be a good investment.

Random funny story, but one day my brother called me because his Subaru WRX ran out of gas on the side of the highway, and needed me to bring him a couple gallons in a red container so he could get to a gas station. I told him I'd be on the way in about 5 minutes. He calls me back about 30 seconds later and says "but make sure it's 93 or higher octane premium gas or it'll mess up my car! It HAS to be premium gas!" I was just like dude... You're completely out of gas on the side of the road and you're complaining about putting a couple gallons of regular in it instead of premium? I ended up filling the jug up with regular and just told him it was premium. Beggars can't be choosers!

Finally got to stretch its legs a bit and use 4WD. Found an amazing campsite I’ve been trying to find now after seeing on YouTube videos and on forums. Nice dead end road just outside of Mt Rainier Nat’l Park.

Thanks! Truly blessed to live in such an amazing place! I had to get creative and do a ton of Google earth/Gaia gps work to find it but finally got it. I’m glad we have the vehicles that allow us to get to these incredible views!

Oddly enough, his car had no issues! It didn't even explode when he started it or anything! Who woulda thunk it?! He's such a dingbat sometimes I swear. Can't choose our family though!

I live in TX and traveling to VA tonight. I hope I can find something even remotely close to the grandeur of these pics. Won’t be mountains but hopefully the beauty. Jealous. And I really want to try on my 4x4.

I hear it’s beautiful over there! I’ve only been to NC south to FL. Really wanna get over to VA soon. We were actually in Texas earlier this year checking out potential places to move. WA is amazingly beautiful but there’s to many people and a lot of crazy ones.

Heading out on a 2k mile round-trip tomorrow, thus thought to test in the garage this new air compressor from MORRFlate (https://morrflate.com/shop/air-sour...s/morrflate-tensix-psi-pro-compressor-batch1/) with a relatively inexpensive tire inflation system off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6M4LSXR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) for $40. While the inflation system takes up no space, as it is a lot less than most compression hose systems, I am considering installing it permanently under the vehicle. Unfortunately, the compressor is a lot larger than expected. A LOT LARGER! Thus, likely will find somewhere to store for now that is easy to grab when needed. As to the compressor, it inflated all four tires in no time from 15psi to 34psi. Even better, the fill psi can be set and the compressor shuts off when all four tires reach the set psi.

    Too much crap
I don't know if there's an aftermarket kit for this or not, but I got tired of my little plastic cubby covers falling out whenever the body flexes when I'm driving. Got some of those butterfly latches online and installed em today. Those little bastards ain't going anywhere now

Installed heavier rate rear coils to battle the squat from my ever increasing constant weight on the 4runner.

I went from stock rate Dobinson coils that were 1.5 in of lift (C59-505), to the C59-327 coils meant for for 200-400 lbs constant weight and approx 2in of lift.

I’m on the low end of that constant additional weight. The heavier spring rate feels much better, spot on if you ask me. But the extra 1/2 inch of height leaves me a bit more raked than I wanted when unladen for daily driving (constant weight still aboard).

No choice though…I had to go Dobinsons because I’m a fanboy, and their shortest heavy rate spring is this one.

So that means I have one choice to remedy this situation…that’s right, a steel bumper with swingout lol. Well, 4 sacs of concrete in the back would work too, but that’s got no style. :D

Edit: I do not own a tiny canoe. That belongs to the car parked on the other side of the lot lol.
