Newbie here from South FL. Looking to purchase a 4Runner 2018 SR5 4x4.
What’s the difference between the electronic knob 4x4 and the ones with a manual shifter 4x4? Thanks

Welcome to the site nice to see a fellow south Floridian. The manual 4x4 called a reverse J shift is only avalible on Trd offroad or pro models, the eletronic dial is only avalible on the sr5 and limited models. They both do the same task, just diffrent ways to put your truck in 4x4.

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
Welcome! And to add to the above, the manual stick is a direct connection to the transfer case, but the action locking the front axle into 4wd is still electronically actuated. The electronic knob is all electrically activated.
