Is the radio and plastic trim all one part of can you separate them? I would like to do away with the gloss black that catches every beam of sunlight in the galaxy.

The side plastics that run up and down and go to the top of the console? Yeah. Grasp and pull hard toward the back of the truck, they unclip.

In tracking how the radio comes out, it comes out as a unit with the trim. My question is can you remove the radio from the trim. I know the vents come out, but have never seen the stock radio without the plastic attached.

I'm aware how the interior comes apart and can say for certain that I can do it in the same amount of time as the person in the video ran their mouth for. But it still has nothing to do with my question.

Thanks for the pic. Guess one day I will take the head unit out and have a good look.

Are you referring to the black plastic garnish on the radio?

Yes it can be removed. There are also aftermarket ones you can get for replacement head units.
