So I have a 2019 4runner off road , and I would like to get it rust checked , so I called Toyota , and there reply was that the vehicle has been treated from the factory , and if any issues arise from me getting it rust checked that the warranty would be void please advise if this is true thanx

    How to check for rust.

    1. Park 4R.
    2. Lay on back
    3. Roll on under 4R and look for rust.

Not sure what else you mean by rust checked and warranty.

What Toyota Canada told me was that the frame has been treated , and if I take the 4runner to crown , and something goes wrong, and it's related to the spray then warranty will be voided

Well that is true if they can prove it.

Anything aftermarket can void warranty for only that particular item.

If you apply an undercoating and damage something in the process obviously it would not be covered under warranty

Your frame is "treated at the factory" exactly like all 5th gen T4R's were. And we know how well that worked out. Personally, I'd take the chance the aftermarket corrosion protection - applied correctly - trumps factory corrosion protection any day of the week.

Newer frames should have a cavity wax sprayed at the factory to delay the onset of catastrophic corrosion (rust holes larger than 10mm) as seen in 4th gen 4Runners by a few years.

No such thing as "warranty would be void". However, if the Rust Check spray causes any problems, they would not be covered under warranty. For example, if there's a lot of overspray on the serpentine belt tensioner under the hood, that may cause the belt to slip. If the shop sprays inside the doors and rear hatch, it can gum up the window regulator mechanism. Those issues would not be covered under warranty. That's about it. The Krown and Rust Check fluids generally don't harm plastics or cause rubber swelling.
