A couple of months ago, I installed the vinyl hood glare deflector from MyWyfsRnnr (Chris). If you are considering a decal, Chris is excellent to work with and stands by his product.

A few weeks after I installed my decal, another forum member share how he took his off, as it was a dirt magnet. As I pondered that, I had to believe the issue stemmed from the vehicle sitting in the sun. As vinyl heats up, it is likely that the vinyl softens to point where dirt could adhere to the vinyl and be difficult to remove.

As I considered this, I decided to apply ceramic coat to the decal. This has proved to be a great solution. My wife and I took an extended 2 week trip from Florida to Upper Michigan and back. We traveled down dirt roads, muddy roads, etc. The decal cleaned up easy and perfect every time.

So if you have applied vinyl decals to your rig, consider applying a ceramic coat to them.

    Happy trails.

Do you have a youtube channel or are you an influencer in any capacity or anything? I ask because your thread titles read like YouTube video titles.

I do not have a YouTube channel. I also do not consider myself an influencer. I just enjoy sharing lessons learned and hope the knowledge benefits others.

    Thanks for asking.

Just want to follow up i meant nothing at all by the question, just seemed like maybe you've done similar titles before. Thank you for answering.

This community is a little less active than a lot of other forums. I appreciate your posts.
