I'm really eyeballing that LandCruiser hard, but a manual option on the 6th gen 4Runner is going to make the decision very difficult.

On the other hand, if people are already in line for Land cruisers, I don't think I'm going to be getting one anytime soon anyway. Hoping the market will slow down and dealership gouging will mellow out over the next year or two.

I’ve been following some of the car market folks and many of them are expecting a correction in the next 12-18 months. Some of the country is already seeing these corrections, unfortunately not here in Texas yet. I’m going to buy the last Gen 5 model so hopefully things will get less crazy before the middle of that model year. My ‘21 only has 50k miles so it’s not an emergency.

My guess is the manual will be around for only 1 or 2 model years. After that it will get dropped because of low volume sales for that option. If this article is correct the real big info I take from it is that it will most likely be built in Mexico with the Tacoma.

Might as well keep the '21. It's not even broken in yet!

I could see that happening. But, the fact that it will now share a platform with the Tacoma which will not get rid of the manual option, I could also see it being continually offered in lower numbers.
