Do you guys know when Toyota swaps the line over to 2024 production? I currently have an order in for a 2023 TRD Pro. I am sure the 2024 will be identical but I am a little curious if they may throw in anything new for the last year and if I may want to push and order a 2024 instead. My 2023 says it has been allocated but it hasn’t completed production yet so it’s still a ways out. Was also curious if it may swap over to a 2024 given the timing. The dealer said they usually change over in august.

I think your dealer is correct: They begin building the next model year in August. Mine was built in August 2022 and my dealer said it was one of the first they had received in late September / early October.

Nice! With as late as mine was allocated I wonder if it has a chance to swap over to a 2024 by chance? I am guessing not but I seem to be right on the edge there.

Seems to be some question floating around the internet wondering if they'll even make a 24. Guess we'll see if the LC show tonight has any answers. If not, I guess we'll see soon.

If the 5th Gen continues into 2024, then both the 2023 and 2024 builds will continue through September. It just depends on the particular allocation and how it fits into Toyota's build schedule. MY23 will usually stop being produced by the end of September.

If you're not getting a Solar Octane Pro, then I would ask your dealer to push your allocation to 2024 at this point. The resale value of a 24 will be higher than a 23.

My big thing would be if there are any new additions to the 2024 model that i would care about. With the move to the new 2024 you are also going to pay the new markup for the 2024 which is kind of an unknown. I actually just got word from the dealer today that mine is due into the Portland port this week. 2023 Mag Grey TRD Pro.
