We need a picture of the whole battery. Factory batteries are Panasonic.

Looks original. Why would it matter if they changed it?

That’s the original factory Panasonic battery. You can tell by the round vent caps on top. After your original factory battery dies you will not be able to buy a battery like that from the dealer. The dealer batteries are made by Johnson Controls or by that company that bought them out which are not as good as the Panasonic batteries.

I took pictures of removable items (including battery) after delivery. I didn't officially take delivery until two weeks after whilst sorting out sales of the other truck and getting cash deposits ready. Salesman warned it may be tampered with/damaged if used for test driving. (New 4Runner were scarce on the lot then. Some cash buyers were even offering to buy mines from the lot) So i asked him to lock it up and keep all keys until pickup.

I'm asking it because it looks different from most of 4runner battery like this 4Runner_Panasonic-original-Battery.jpg My car is manufactured in April 2023 not sure if new car manufactured after that all have the same battery as mine BTW: what's 180423D means on the label? I find similar 260418D on other photo but have no idea how to decode it

Can i ask, why you care? Is there a issue? 12volts is 12volts. Do you have some sort of issue? Or just over nerding on your new rig?

Have you replaced battery by yourself?

My car is manufactured in April 2023 and just bought it this month below market price and the experience of buying is tricky. Salesman adjusted clock during test drive

The clock adjustment is a gigantic no-no for me. Something very tricky was going on.

    No
I'm suspecting dealer replaced battery because car has parasitic draw draining battery abnormally

Welcome. I was just joking with my comment.

Your battery looks like a normal Panasonic that comes in all Toyota’s. What state or region are you in that has you concerned?

That looks like a OEM battery. Very good batteries in my experience.

Has your battery run down because of parasitic draw? Hopefully you havent because then you’d need it to take it to the service dept. If you think the sales dept is tricky, wait till you meet a modern day service writer lol

find a photo of Panasonic battery on 2019 Mazda 3 with serial number 091218D
    https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/panasonic-car-battery.240884/
"More specifically, Model AK23331, which I can't find anywhere. Further review of the label (see attached) reveals what I think is a date code of 091218D. A simple translation would seem to indicate that it was made on 09/12/2018, but I don't know what the D stands for. "
    IMG_3680.jpg

Can somebody confirm this decoding method is correct on Panasonic OEM battery?
    Thanks a lot

At a minimum, the date decoding must be different, since the first two digits on mine are 26. I assume if it really is a date code, it's day-month-year. They all end in D. But date code is just an assumption. I don't really know.

Why do you suspect there was an excess parasitic power draw? Have you noticed anything other than a label difference?

There are several reasons he might have done that. The clock might not have been set to local time before that, it could have been set inaccurately to local time, the battery could have been disconnected for some dealer preparation procedures.

My battery label looks quite different from yours

when is your new 4runner manufactured? You can find it on your driver side door plate i.e. MM/YY mine is 04/23
What's the serial number on yellow label?
    it's xxxxxxD like number string

according to my previous post, it's in DDMMYY format

    Thanks a lot

OP’s battery does look suspiciously different.
