Beeping with no dash lights or dash cam?

Does anyone recognize or have any idea what this beeping might be? It seems to happen when I accelerate and sometimes it’s loud and sometimes it’s quiet. Very strange since no lights have gone on.

 

Does your 4Runner have blind spot monitoring? Look for lights in the mirrors when it’s beeping.

 

Sometimes the rear hatch is almost closed, but not quite. Going over bumps can make the warning chirp.

 

I noticed unknown beeps too when I was driving on a dirt road, average speed is about 10 with 20 mph top, 4Hi. I drive that road from time to time and if often beeps there, but only on that road. It wasn't any traction control of any electronic aids because there was no lights or messages on dashboard and all doors were closed firm, didn't beep on bumps. I think that maybe collision prevention radar reacted on trees (narrow winding dirt road) or maybe it doesn't like dust. Or might be some hidden or not implemented feature ; )

 

So it only beeps? Nothing displayed in the gauge cluster? When your TSS systems activates, there is usually some sort of message that pops up as well.

 

Did you figure it out?

 

IS everything on your 4Runner stock or do you have any aftermarket remote starter/alarms?
