Getting ready to do a front brake job on my 2018 4R SR5 Premium. It has 117,000 miles . Planning on replacing pads and rotors . I was considering Pro STOP Extreme brake kit with drilled and slotted rotors . My concern is a few reviews I read state that they had warping issues rather early after install . I do occasional light towing , a 5x8 utility trailer and no off-roading. Any advice . Thanks in advance .

I just went to a Powerstop z36, no long term review yet but significant difference. I’ve seen a few go to the PowerBrake front kit and they really like ‘em but that’s a lot of cabbage right there!

Go with OEM rotors and pads.

OEM and bed them in properly. Drilled is no good anywhere and slotted makes minimal difference if any at all.

Going with original sounds like good advice . I'll wait to see if there are more opinions out there before I decide but that is probably the route I'll take .

Whatever you choose, clean the rust off of the hub if there is any.

    Wire brush off, little anti-seize.

    I use a wire brush after a die grinder with 3" cookie..
I hate anti-seize, BTW. If I use it, it will be copper anti-seize, but not on the hub.

Since it's a pavement princess, Advics rotors and pads, a bit cheaper than the dealer. Advics is the OEM manufacturer (you see the name molded on your ABS unit).

For off-road use, StopTech or Raybestos slotted rotors are better for water evacuation.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Put Power Stop rotors and pads on my 1990 4R and my diesel 10 years ago and I am very satisfied with them.
Both my sons own Cummins and both have said my truck’s brakes are much better than theirs.
Being retired with three vehicles means none of them get a lot of miles now though so “your mileage may vary.”

Stay away from cross-drilled rotors. Slotted or OEM style only. Drilling + slotted is too much for these trucks. It's not a lightweight, racing setup. Too much weight and heat for that type of rotor - especially with your use case. You're just asking for problems.
