Mid 30s. Wife wasn't a fan of the color here, but the more she drives it, the more the color is growing. Also helps that every drive someone comments on how great the color is. I pass a Solar Octane Tacoma on my way to work in my other car a few times a week, and that color looks stunning every time; rain or shine.

I did it. Deposit down should arrive in September some time. If I change my mind I lose my deposit. Lol! My dealer has one allocated to them for September.

Just seen on YouTube, that the TRD Pro 4Runners (solar octane) are coming with the "old school" TRD Pro wheels. Due to a combination of recall, and manufacturing constraints???? Curious to see what yours will come with! ;)

Yeah I would had rather the updated ones. Not sure which ones will be on mine. Don’t state anything on my spec sheet. I will probably do the same thing down the road I did before on my AG I had SCS wheels F5’s in bronze on my AG. I will probably get them in black this time.

I think I will leave it all stock for now when I get it. Glad I kept some stuff from my 2020AG Pro.

Good call! All I did, was tints, tires, and ceramic coating. Will leave stock for now, change out wheels later on. I really like the look of the Black Rhino Arsenal wheels. (old school military look). I think those on solar octane would be sick. We'll see.

Yeah they would look good. I will get my front doors tinted probably right away to match. Not sure yet if I will pull the roof rack and put my black rails on. I did not like the roof rack before. But might leave it for now. Up in the air also on tires. My local place I know the owner really good because of buying tires a lot from him. I think he will do the same thing he did for me with my tundra pro. He bought my new tires and I put it towards the Nitto’s grapplers I put on. That’s a sweet deal makes it easy with selling them.
I also checked with my salesman today to see if he could find out which wheels and he checked with his manager and they looked into it. They are not sure which ones will come on it. No information on it. Yes I rather the new ones but I’m not going to get upset if it’s the older set.

Wondering if anyone has seen many pics of an aftermarket wheel on a solar octane Taco or 4R in a color other than black?

The interweb is seemingly very lacking in pics other than a steelie white-wheeled 4R and a video from Westcott Designs of one with what looks like a magnetic gray wheel. I did also find one Taco pic on the SCS website.

Just these. My 2 choices F5’s or the blaze 10’s going on mine. I say it now but maybe change my mind. Don’t think I’m putting 285’s on this time. Leaving stock size??

I’m not too familiar with SCS wheels…

What finish do you plan to go with and what made you choose the Blaze10 over the Ray10? The Blaze is available in gloss gunmetal and the Ray is available in matte gunmetal. Not sure which would look better.

I personally am not a fan of black wheels and have done a little experimenting, but so far, nothing looks right to me.

I have had numerous sets on my Toyota’s. I don’t like the bead lock look. Had them on my AG first and did not look good to me. That’s why I switched to the F5’s. And now that blaze wheel with the deep dish like the F5’s I like. Bronze on my AG. I plan on staying with the black because of the Solar color I think it looks good. Don’t think I will do bronze. I have bronze now on my 21 tundra Pro LunaRock but I’m selling that to get the 4runner. I had the Ray 10’s in black and never mounted them for my tundra and sold them.
Also a lot of guys complain and I seen it in mine with water laying in the bead lock. I did not like that.

The offset choices may be the deciding factor between the two for me.

I’ll likely go with the Blaze10 in gloss gunmetal.

On instagram I seen the Solar with gloss white SCS wheels which look pretty good. But I think they only come in 17x9.

4MarksMan, The matte grey might look good. Tough call. A lot of time pics don’t do justice. I think mine look better in person when I had them on them the pic. Look at that set the Ray 10 matte grey but take away that black lip.

Anyone know for sure if the factory size tire (265/70/17) will fit on a Pro with the Blaze10 wheel, which has the following specs?

    17 X 8.5
    6 X 139.7
    4.30" -10mm

My Pro 4R has about 1” of lift front from a Westcott collar and 1” Bilstein springs in the rear, so I would think I would be fine staying with 265’s and this wheel offset.

I don’t want to post pics with my AG on this page. I ran my stock tires on my Pro with that wheel. Yes they fit better than the oem wheel because it gives it a more aggressive offset.
All there Toyota wheels have the same spec 17x8.5. The blaze 10 is no different.

Apparently its the production of center caps that has been delayed. Few places have them available. The places that do went from approx $25 to well over $100 per cap. One dealer has them for $168 ea. Just ordered a Pro wheel to replace the spare last night, and felt that unmistakable reaming sensation when I tried to get a center cap. Seems really sad Toyota can't get a few thousand caps made. I understand their "lean production" methodology, but damn this is silly.

I really like how turn key this TRD Pro is, especially since I’m not in a hurry to get out there and scuff and scrape in the boonies. I have two reasons for not customizing yet: 1) In the event I have any warranty issues in the first few years, I don’t want there to be any question with the factory warranty. 2) My understanding is the engineering from the factory was pretty precise regarding wheels, suspension, etc… and that even adding a winch can lessen the life span of the the front end components. I have saved up the money for KO2s though and that will be my first upgrade but right now these terra grapplers aren’t horrible by any means. But I really do like what you guys have done and will probably steal some of your ideas some day.

If SCS still offers their stealth blue color, I think that would look amazing against the solar octane color.

Right!? I'm looking into it! ;). F5's in stealth blue would be sick. I see on the website they have a silver FJ Cruiser with them, but I'm not sure they are offered still. I'll have to search next week.

I love their wheels. I have had 5 sets so far. Sold the 4 sets no problems from switching Toyota’s. I have F5’s now.

RusPro. I'm a little confused. Maybe you can help? I emailed MJ Motorsports and they replied back that the SCS SR8's 17X8.5 -10 in stealth blue would require a little bumper trimming. Is that because it's stock and not lifted? Thank you!

They are wrong on that. If you run that size wheel on our Pros with the stock size tire I did and had plenty of clearance. When I went to 285’s on my AG I also had the new Eibach springs changed out on my Pro and mounted to the Fox shocks. My 285’s cleared no problem. I have to look at old pic but I think I removed my front mudflaps. But if you are staying with the stock Pro height which it is higher in the front then the normal 4runner and staying with stock size tire they will clear.

I just looked at old pic and yes my mudflap are removed in the front with my 285’s but not with my 265’s.
