Hoping to find some help on this forum! 3 years ago I purchased a 2008 Sport Edition with 193,000 miles. Original XREAS suspension was initially OK. After recently experiencing a lot of bounce, I decided to replace the original suspension with 5100 Bilsteins (front and back). Had the work done by a trusted mechanic. I did not want all around lift - just to level the front with the back. After installation with the Bilsteins (set at the lowest setting), the front is now slightly higher than the back. The mechanic suggested that maybe the rear springs are sagging and might also need to be replaced. Any input on this would be helpful. Thank you!

If you still have the OEM rear springs, then yes, they could be sagging. I suggest getting a set of FJ cruiser rear springs from Rock Auto and have your mechanic pop them in. These will give the rear end that slight boost in height you need I think. They worked on mine way back when I still had stock suspension and I removed the XREAS system. I didn't go with 5100s and instead had gone with 2019 Tacoma front shocks and springs and these FJ Cruiser rear springs.

Here is how she sat with that suspension setup. Rode very nice like this too and handled light offroading just fine.

That's a really nice set up on your 2003! Yes, they are they original springs. Thank you for your response and the link. I'll get them replaced!

Agree! I've heard from a very trusted source at my off-road shop that FJ coils are they way to go.
