First time forumer - finally joining one after sitting on the sidelines for so long.

Drove a Nissan Xterra for the last 11 years. Sold that earlier this year and purchased an 04' T4R Limited V8 w/ 140k miles. Been upgrading/maintenancing since then. Camping/overlanding is the general focus.

Hoping I can add some value for someone along the way.

I always like the idea of V8 in a 4Runner, wish they still offered it. 140K, just getting broken in, enjoy. Welcome to the forum from San Diego!

Welcome. If you haven't yet, you might want to look into replacing the timing belt.

The 2UZ-FE V8 is near and dear to my heart. It's a wonderful engine and will run a long time. Keep an eye on the heater T's and the coil packs. Do the timing belt at the prescribed intervals.

    Welcome to the forum.

I appreciate the welcome from everyone, thanks for the introductions.

I saw on Toyota's online Vehicle Service History Report before buying the car that the timing belt was done at 90K miles. Matching sticker with mileage was also on the fan shroud. That said, that was almost 9 years ago so I anticipate having it done in the near future along with water pump and some of the other accessories that come off during the procedure. If only Toyota had put a lens or something on the timing cover.
