Doesn't matter. I wouldn't be around to see 1,000,000 miles.

I've used it for almost a year in my 2021 and I'm happy with it. You do need to clean and use a "refresher" spray with it. I've cleaned it at least 3 times already and still have plenty of cleaner & refresher left. I'm sensitive to pollen and really don't tolerate it well during the high pollen season so I like to keep it as clean as possible during that season. Looks like its on sale on the K&N site for a decent price.

I change my air and cabin filters at every 5000 mile or less oil change. I drive in a very dusty environment. I'll give the K&N air and cabin filters a try in an effort to save some money. I tried K&N air filters years ago and didn't like the inconvenience of cleaning them. However, years ago air filters were cheap as dirt...not so much anymore.

Might be my imagination, but it seems the cabin filter collects more debris than the engine air filter.

100%, the shitty air intake for in cabin provides almost no protection before the filter for larger debris. I know this because I found a bunch of snow piled on top of my in cabin filter once. :frustrated:

Snow is a new one that I haven’t experienced yet. Mine is always a mouse or chipmunk nest.

I was surprised by this. I assume the old one is original. New one is Fram from Amazon. IMG_1697.jpg I may look into K&N. I run them in my MINI. The 4R one is WAY easier to change.

WOW!!! The old filter looks like it may have never been changed (?) When I was working, I would average about 14K a year. I would just change both the air and cabin filters once a year to stay in a routine. But I found myself needing to check that cabin filter every 6 months. Sometimes it was OK. Other times, it needed changed.

Is that washable or a throw away?

Throw away, though its really good quality and can likely be blown clean. The activated carbon only works so long though.

Its worked really well for the Canadian fires and the smoke.

Great to know. I’m not opposed to throw aways…was just curious. I think the activated carbon could be useful. Thanks
