I finally ended the feud with my rearview mirror falling off every summer when it gets 100°+ outside. Ended up making a metal bracket outta some 1/8" x 1" flat bar aluminum, bent it into shape, bolted it to the metal bracket that holds the map light assembly in place, then put some 3M foam adhesive in between the aluminum mount and the windshield so it doesn't rattle.

    Victory.

I despise that stupid little bastard metal button mount.

You might wear the center of your tires in the rear with 37 psi and no load. But run it and let us know I'm pretty curious.

I used to run 36 psi on an eclipse, center of the tire wore faster front and back.

Thanks. The Amazon page has the dimensions, I have some aluminum stock that I can bend the same way.

    Much appreciated,

When there is a redneck will, there is a redneck way.

Or as the old saying: Necessity is the mother of invention.

Take your pick, but I like it.

Filled up for the first time. $46.00. Only $13.00 more a fill up from a 1/4 tank VS my old car. I think it might bankrupt me. ;) 255 miles of the normal break in procedure following the manual. I love the truck so far and have no complaints with it.

Where do you live? I wish i could spend $46 per fill up. Anything close to $60-70 and I’m happy. When I first got mine in 22, gas was insanely expensive and all my fill ups were above $100. Gas use to be A LOT cheaper in Phoenix 10 years ago, but AZ is turning into CA unfortunately

Missouri. Was $3.32 a gallon at Sam's Club. I was also at 1/4 of a tank,13.9 gallons. Would have been more if I was lower, but not going to stress out the fuel pump.

Completely unrelated to T4R, but I was watching YT vids on my lunch break (going down a rabbit hole lol), and stumbled on this. One helluva way to make a potato peeler.

(Going back on the "necessity is the mother of invention" idea.)

My local BBQ place has a drill bit that does the same thing, but slices it a bit thinner. Similar to this, but not exactly the same. Either way, that's pretty neat if you have a lot of spare time.

Fluf post, lol. I put this 3M scoop wrap on today. Also added the supercharged emblems. I know, I have a mix of "Pro" and "Off Road" stuff....and I'm good with that ;)

I have a Rubbermaid Action Packer storage box in the back of my 22 ORP. There is also a cargo mat that the box sits on. Every time I turn a corner or go through a curve, the thing slides around. Very annoying. I first tried bungee cords but that did not work. Now, problem solved.

I ordered rubberized magnets from Amazon. I drilled holes in the bottom of the box at each corner and bolted the magnets to the box. I thought I would have to somehow attach steel washers to the cargo mat but between the magnets being rubber and the weight of the box when loaded is enough to keep it stationary when making a turn or going through a curve. I love it when a problem can be solved for $13.99.

If you’re putting 14 gallons of gas you’re nowhere near stressing the fuel pump. ;)

I'll stick to the 1/4 tank rule of thumb. Yeah I can go lower, but I'll play it safe.

Dude... That is awesome. Almost everything you'd just have laying around in a shop too. He even went all out on the handle too, that was cool.

Half the fun of owning a truck is making cool custom parts & solutions out of what most people consider scrap. Or I see some kind of mod for sale and think "I can make a better one for like 1/4 the cost".

Those magnets are awesome, I actually picked up one to make a walkie talkie mount for my truck. Haven't finished it yet but those magnets can be used for a ton of things. Nice ingenuity there man!

where did you end up buying the new head unit from? All the ones I find are more expensive than all the aftermarket options.

I greased the UCA's. Holy Hell, what a job. First, put it up on jack stands, then find the zerks were a mess after two years, so I replaced them. Then, I had to remove the ARK splash guards- great product, but the clips are absolute shite. Then I had to loosen the long bolts so the grease would flow into the bushings, clean it all up and finally retorque the long bolts. Almost two hours- this is becoming tedious every 5K.
