What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Besides the grease spitting around my wheel and somewhat near brakes, should my new OUTER TIE ROD balljoint zerk be leakin, similar to some UCAs, this normal enough? It's only one side tho

 

I had it put on the T4R a couple months ago (full polarized rip out and air 80 windsheild). With it being 106+ in TX, no issues after work getting into truck. And don't need to run AC on max anymore,.

 

This is good to hear. Planning on tint and discussed tinting the windshield with the shop who did my PPF. They also had good things to say about it.

I was supposed to fire up my engine with the new Magnuson blower installed this afternoon. Unfortunately I couldn't flash their tune. I think I messed up on one of my VIN numbers. The folks that can fix that in California at the Magnuson headquarters left early today. Looks like I'll have to wait till Monday afternoon if they don't have Monday off too

So my new Runner sits idle but I did get the Pro grill installed along with the raptor lights.

The silver valance will go away when the Victory Blitz bumper arrives. Already received the Warn Evo 10S winch and Factor55 goodies.....they just need a good home The Morimoto's will get here in a few days too and will improve the front a bit.

 

Bought some Kilmat sound deadening off Amazon. I was able to do under the middle seats and rear cargo area for around $65. Bought the 36 square foot 80 mil package for $50 plus ~$15 for the roller tools (which are absolutely crucial for the install). Took about an hour to remove the 2nd and 3rd row seats and all the plastic panels in the way, and all you need is a 10mm, 14mm, and a panel popper. Vacuumed all the dirt out, cleaned the metal with some Simple Green, and went to work. Spent about 4-5 hours total. Gonna start on the front row and doors next weekend.

Some words of advice: don't be an idiot like me and do this in the middle of July in North Texas.

 

Don’t put the dog kennel on top of the car if you have any plans to ever run for POTUS, just saying.

 

I need to do some tinting asap ... the 110+ for the last bit here has been a bit much

Also used:
- M6 - 1.0mm x 16mm machine screw
- a few washers placed behind felt ceiling panel to keep things flush

I put a slight downward bend in the bracket to fit the Viofo A139 Pro rear cam.

 

Finally installed! Subtle so I like it. Interior wash coming after it stops raining today.

 

Once I get some molle panels for my first aid kit (it overflows that area so I couldn't put the cover on right now) I want to get that. It looks so clean and like it came with the car!

 

That's the main reason I did it. I am still trying to figure out which Molle panel I want to do. My wife didn't like the back window ones we had because it blocked her view.

I used the window ones for under my truck seats.

 

Some may remember I was thinking about swing out cargo box. But endup with a roof box. Better than I expected. I was trying hard to listen if there's any wind noise at 75-80mph for about 25miles, but I didn't notice it. (Could be due to my TRD exhaust).

 

Got rid of that damn flapping with some Ark Splash Guards.

Well twice since I bought my new 4Runner I had some neighborhood criminals think about breaking into it.. all caught on my Ring floodlight camera.. So today I removed the roof basket that came with the 4Runner so that I could fit it into my detached garage! It was a tight fit but it worked!

 

I got the dreaded "photos or it didn't happen" so here it is my ARB single compressor install. I also added some truck bed liner to the TRD skid.

 

Looks great! I have the same air compressor and mount. With recent Lo Pro bumper installed, I routed the air hose air chuck to bumper.
