There are no tuning "parts" - you can have one of the people who offer to tune it do so. There are no gadgets that will make your 4R run better, go faster, or get 30 mpg.

What do you mean by tune?

Typically I buy parts from the vendor or reseller of the part I have selected. And by typically I mean 100% of the time.

You know what? Your 4Runner will decimate all, after, you put about fifteen grand in it or more. If we have to, overnight parts from Japan.

Sorry, couldn't help my self.

There’s a couple of people that offer tuning with HP Tuners but you have to go to them which is the proper way since each vehicle is different. I suspect it’s still slow.

If you are looking for a tune there are a few different companies that offer it. Nothing really to buy except the service of them flashing the tune unless you go the remote tune route in which case you will need to get some hardware but not all offer remote tuning. The companies that I've seen mentioned on this forum are KDMAX Pro, OTT(Overland Torque Tune), and YotaWerx. Read about all of em and figure out which one best suits your needs.

    Edit:
I may have misunderstood what you where asking. If you mean more like bolt on parts for aesthetics these two seem to come up often https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/ and https://yotaxpedition.com/.

Thank you for the cogent response.

I'm not looking to do motor work.

As an example, I'd like to install an after market air intake.

Piece together aa TRD intake. Looks good, pulls air from the OEM location like most do, uses the stock paper or stock replacement paper for better filtering, and gives some extra noise when you want it. No extra power though.

I would not do this. The stock one is pretty good insofar as it's ability to not take in water.

Aftermarket intakes don't do anything without a tune. There's no reason to tune these unless you have a super charger.

....unless you want a slightly different noise. Aftermarket intake should sound a little different.

Get in touch with kdmax, overland tuning or yotawerx. They are all on this forum. I have the kdmax 9.0 tune and its pretty awesome.

I saw this tribute build in Florida a few years back. I think Paul Walker would have approved. :)

Ask any wheeler, any real wheeler. It don't matter if it's 1/4 of an inch or 1/4 of a mile. Clearance is clearance.
