285-70-17

I want to put 285-70-17 tires on my 2023 ORP. I am not planning on doing any serious off roading but i don't want any rubbing ( doing it mostly for the look ). i am also not really interested in lifting it any more than i have to, although i have a set of 5100s on it so i have some ability. i want to put them on my stock TRD wheels
Just looking for some information...need to know roughly what this might cost me - all in - tires trimming lifting - whatever it will take to make them work

According to "Tinkers Adventures- one can fit those with bone stock suspension". I asked questions but didn't help me much. Many in this forum also say lift does nothing. So could give a try for yours since most members here are very technical than amature me.
With my 4Runners per the 4x4shops I needed a little lift and trimming front lower part of the bumper on my TRD ORP and push the fender liner forward on both my TRD ORP and Limited. My Limited did not required to cut the lower part of the front bumper.

i put Toyo Open Country AT3s (285) on mine with an Eibach Pro 2 lift. I did have some rubbing and ended up shaving some off and ditching the mud flaps

 

Before we all start chiming in with what fits, please indicate the wheel specs please.

 

Hope OP mean +15 stock TRD Offroad wheels. +4 TRD Pro wheels are not stock for a

yeah i hear ya...im not in a super rush - just want to know how much i need to save up

 

You really don't need to save up much. But if your going to do it. Id chop the body mount(bmc). I know others will say you don't have to. Well my 285s rubbed the body mount. It's really quite simple if you have the right tools(welder) or let a qualified shop do it. After that its just cutting plastic and pushing the fender liner out of the way.

 

I didn’t mean the OP, just for everyone else as they share their experience. I often feel like that’s not clearly communicated when people say they do/don’t rub.

 

I run those size tires on my lifted '23 ORP. Front mud flaps removed. Pro wheels. No rubbing. Full turning capabilities.
