Hello all, looking to order dividers and cell phone holder for stock 2023 limited.
I have been through the forum threads regarding dividers. Some members have had issues such as sagging/bending/breaking pieces. Also interested in what others have found to be quality cell phone holder. I must have watched 10-15 different company videos on how theirs is best. Any real world info from the members here as to what seems to work and last.
Thank you all once again, appreciate responses!

I also bought this because it gets great reviews. It’s very well made, does exactly what it’s supposed to, and I absolutely hated it. I returned it within a week. I just have no use for a phone holder. I use the map and phone controls on the screen.

Thanks Beachguy, we also bought same item a year or so ago. It's also no longer used, started having issues with it. It found it's way to the landfill. I definitely would not sacrifice a drink holder in the 4runner for cell phone holder.

I have a phone mount from https://getoffroam.com/products/phone-mount-kit-toyota-4-runner-2010-2023 and it works great. No blocked air vents, no used cupholders, and no drilling required to mount. A very high quality phone holder.

I have the Salex glove box and center console organizers, and they both are fine. I'm not sure why anyone would have 'sagging issues' with organizers...there's usually nothing on those but paper and small items. Nothing that would seem to be so heavy as to cause sagging or breaking.

Best car phone holder is the iOttie wireless car charger, they have automated and manual mounting options as well as non charging. I prefer manual. On Amazon.

The dividers are super simple and do the job. If it sags/bends, its just the way it is. Love mine and braced the sagging part so no issues anymore.

I have the glove box organizer (or similar) from post #2. It may bend/sag a little but I don't keep super heavy stuff in there anyway so not an issue for me. Love the cubbies areas - place for the stock book and other widgets.

I also have the console tray from post #5 (or similar). That thing is stout and I don't think you'll ever bend - its hard plastic and has angles and curves to stiffen it up (unlike the thin, straight glove box organizer panels). Love it too.

I also have the door "things" from post #7 (or similar). The tape isn't strong enough to use as a door handle (my dad ripped one off trying to close the door - tape was still good and stuck right back on). I love them as well. My only complaint is when my wife tosses her phone into the area - it will rattle/vibrate with stock sound system. That's only because she partially puts her phone in with screen touching the plastic (every... single... time). When she pushes it all the way in or flips it over so the softer case touches the plastic there isn't a single sound.

I agree on the tape. I've been thinking replacing it with some thicker 3M double-sided tape.

I have a proclip center vent mount with a Scosche magnet mount in the 4Runner. It's very secure on pavement puts the phone in a very useable place, and is quick and easy to mount and unmount the phone. In the Forester I have an adhesive RAM mount, it's even more secure but requires two hands to mount the phone.

If the 4Runner were my daily instead of the wife's, I'd probably have a RAM mount attached to the Proclip vent mount, but I have no complaints about the Scosche mount.

I can't speak to glove box or console dividers.

    It’s a Garmin GPSMap 66i. It’s a handheld, but it feels a little weighty. 8.5 oz.

I’m old school so I just set my cell phone in the forward cup holder and ignore it while driving.

it will vibrate on a fast washboard boogie if you articulate the mount horizontally. otherwise it holds on tight to an iPhone.

I have two OffRoam holders - the same one above for the 4Runner and a similar one for my 2015 Tacoma. Solid phone mounts.

It might be a bit on the thicker side - it's hard to tell how the sides of the holder will hug the GPSMap 66i
The other way to do it is to use the Garmin spine mount w. AMPS mount w. 20mm metal ball and couple that to Offroam arm & mounting base.

As others mentioned, the mounting area in the 4runner is fairly slender so it causes a bit more vibration than some of our other designs. As @JETSPD1477 suggested above: keeping the effective lever arm short by aiming the system up (rather than towards the driver) tends to help with washboard vibrations.

Hello all, update on the cell phone holder/glovebox and console dividers..
The OFFROAM was ordered on Amazon Prime, arrived 2 days later through USPS. Amazon delivered the organizers 4 days as I opted to have them delivered together in one package. Everything was packed well and a real snap to install once unboxed and instruction read. I appreciate the advice, suggestions and experiences with these products. I will update our personal experiences once we have a week or so to test and give honest review. Just installed everything early today afternoon. Thank you all again, appreciate your kindness!

Much agree with Post #8 and those Salex glove box organizer and console tray. Those were the first two little mods I did with my 4R when new. The glove box organizer eliminates having to pull everything out of the glove box and sit it on the passenger's seat, and sort through to find a specific item. LOL The 4R has a deep console that will hold a lot of items - all sitting on top of one another. That tray makes it much easier to retrieve the items you use most often.
The other item I would recommend is - forget what they call it now - that glass piece that fits over the navigation screen to preclude getting scratches.

Glad you are pleased with the OFFROAM holder. I've been very happy with mine. I will add one caveat, though - the version for 2014 - 2019, which I have, mounts lower down on the dash on the edge of the CD slot, which newer 4Runners no longer have. The version for 2010 - 2023, which you got, mounts up higher on the top of the center console. I have no experience with that mounting location. I did consider ordering that mount after it came out, just to see what the difference is...I may still do that.

I liked it so much I bought a second one for my wife's car, BUT now I hate them, because in both cases after less than a year, the mount detached from the sticky tape that comes on it to stick it to the dash, though the tape stayed stuck very well to the dash. I haven't contacted them to see if they'd send replacements but I feel like I wasted 40 bucks or whatever they cost.
