recently purchased a 23 TRD Off Road... although I think the hood scoop looks cool, I have never been a fan of fake hood scoops or side vents. If they really worked, that would be awesome. In addition, with my white paint, the hood scoop is like a mirror when the sun is in the right spot and can be blinding. If I had the option, I would totally opt for a flat hood without the scoop... less glare and maybe a slight improvement in road visibility (very slight). I have seen the matte black wraps that some have used... but had anyone ever thought about or actually replaced the hood? it looks like the SR5 comes in the same ICE Cap color.. would these be swappable?

They are indeed swappable and I’m sure you would have no problem getting someone to trade with you.

That’s one of several reasons why I went with the SR5.

You'll find plenty of interest in your ice cap scooped hood.

You can likely trade with someone for a flat hood and you’ll even get some cash in your pocket AND have the swap paid for. Scooped hoods are in demand.
