I’ve never heard the term cargo bubble. Do you mean a roof top box?

Okay then. Thule and Yakima are the big names in rooftop boxes and if you do a search on this forum for either of them you’ll find lots of information. Having read many of those threads I would suggest you get crossbars that sit on top of the roof rails rather than between them. The box will sit a little higher and the box’s “claws” won’t scratch the paint on the roof.

really like our Thule Motion XT. despite what Thule sez, it works fine with the OEM crossbars. it does sit very close to the roof but I figure just maybe that lowers drag coefficient a little (probably not but can dream)

I second this box. I have an XL that I used on my Pro rack. Worked amazing for our last road trip. Also, the gloss black looks sharp.

I'd suggest checking Marketplace. These things are big bucks new, but fairly cheap used.

I'd never buy a new one.

Great! Hey when you post pics, post one of the box on top and the clamps open please. Some have reported that the clamps touch the paint when the box is being mounted and leave marks in the paint.
