How Long from Allocation to Freight to Ground?

Two part question:

My 4Runner is in Allocation since I believe before Tuesday May 28, 2023.

1. Typically how long does it take for each stage of the process from Allocation to Freight and then to Ground?

2. Is there another way to track the status?

Let's see. I talked to my dealer on May 6th to snag a 4r from another dealer that ordered it in April. I was given an estimate of mid to late June for arrival. So, about 2 months in the current climate. Once built, you're looking at 2 weeks for each phase.

No way to track the vehicle other than your salesman.

 

No real way to know for sure.

4 months for me from order to delivery.

https://toyota-tracker.com/ was pretty accurate in my case. Keep in mind, estimates you see on that site (or that the dealer gets on their Dealer Daily site) change.

 

I've tried that tracker and it doesn't work for me. Keeps saying my vin is incorrect, but it works fine on https://www.toyota.com/owners/vehicle-specification/

 

I don't know about Allocation to Freight, since mine was already

I had that error at first, and it persisted for several days. I cleared and re-entered it (same number) and it started working. In my case, the time from when it hit "Ground" to reaching the dealer was extended a bit, supposedly waiting for a spot on a train, and even then the dealer got it a few days later than they expected.

 

I've tracked other vehicles using the tracker and received the same error as you did.

My dealer informed me June 15th is the anticipated delivery date in North Texas area (we will see).

 

Check with your dealer. You won't get any new info then what's already been discussed.

It's been over a month since it was ordered. Still no change.

 

Mine was about 7 months from preference to delivery. About 4 months from allocation to delivery.
