New here and have a 4Runner coming in June. What is the cost in mpg if you level the stance? Stock weight, tires etc

You probably won't notice much if any.

Welcome. That shouldn't change much of anything.

I leveled with front spacers. Didn’t notice any difference in MPG, but immediately noticed a lack of nose dive when braking. Wish I would have done it sooner for that reason alone.

Is this something you did or had done? How difficult is it to do?

Had it done at a suspension shop. It didn’t look that hard on YouTube with basic equipment, but I don’t have that or the experience and confidence.

Depends on your mechanical ability. For just spacers, There are several videos online.

Personally, if you are just doing spacers above the strut assembly, I would unbolt the spindle and loosen the lower control arm to lower it. You can lower it enough to put the spacer on top and bolt it back up in place. Of course you would remove the nuts on top of the strut assembly but you only need to loosen the bottom one. Be sure to mark the cams if you do it this way but you are gonna need to align it anyway.

I've done it 3x so far using multiple methods.

Note that a spacer will double the height. Meaning, a .5" spacer will lift it about 1". If you're gonna gave a shop do it, you may want to consider doing the shocks too. Bilstein 5100s are a fairly economical option and you won't need the spacer to level it. Set them at .85"
