Hi! I’m 60 years old and just bought a 94 3.0 with a strong engine and transmission but it needs a lot of other work. The exhaust system fell off today! My daily driver, a Kia, is in the shop because the mechanic broke the plastic eye bolt from the transmission. I don’t trust mechanic s and hope I will be able to do some of the 4Runner work ourselves.

It pretty much needs a bit of everything. The front seat needs to be rebooted a couple inches back because my husband’s knees hit the steering wheel and we can’t get it to go back. And he’s not a big guy at all. 5’7”. There’s this wire that is over riding a locking system, mul-t-lock. And the key we have works in the ignition but keys were broken in the car door locks.
Lots of rust but a friend does body work so that doesn’t bother me too much. It’s going into a tire supply place on the 13th for brakes, drums, tires, struts, etc. things are missing. The side window plastic piece that goes on top there. We haven’t been able to open the back yet. Interior. Dash and all that stuff. The bones are there for sure and when it gets back on the 13th it will be even better. I’ve had several strokes and use a cane and walker around the house. People think I’m nuts but my plan is to put 5k into it and buy another one!!! We live in ND so the snow will fly right after Halloween and it needs to be in great condition for the winter. And I need to drive to Montana and back before my Halloween deadline too. It needs to pull a small 6’ enclosed trailer with about 500# in it.
