My daughter has a Honda Accord with over 400,000 miles and it's been a wonderful car, but I have to polish her plastic headlight lenses every year or two. Right now they are completely frosted over. My 1999 4Runner headlights are crystal clear and they are 24 years old.

Spray “Off”. Let it sit. Wipe away.

Yeah, the lenses outlast the housing they're attached to. I need to redo the gasket in mine this summer because they let in condensation, but the glass is still good. Don't know why the 1st gen tacomas got screwed out of glass lenses (apart from early ones that still used sealed beams)

    Buy some clear Rustoleum.

Polish, clean with alcohol and spray the clear on. Will last 5 years.

My daughter's Accord I referred to in the first post of this thread. Soft plastic lenses, headlights are close to the ground, and she drives on less than optimum roads. Triple bad.
