Gentex Mirror, Homelink, Dimmer and Blue Compass!

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone has added the gentex mirror with homelink/compass to a 5th gen 4runner that came without the homelink overhead console option. I am doing some research and can't find enough info on the matter. I want the garage opener feature but it looks like it came for the Premium model 4R, limited etc. My previous 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport came the same way but I was able to get a Gentex homelink mirror and it was an easy plug and play!

Any info would be greatly appreciated, I will update this page with any updates I come across as well!

 

I remember the guy that offered them on TW but I haven't seen anything like that on here. My GTO didn't have auto dim or anything so I purchased a Gentex with auto dim and Homelink from Crutchfield. It does require to be wired in but I haven't done it yet. You should be able to do the same.

 

Yeah, the guys name is Bob (bob's automotive mirrors & more llc) and thats all he sales is Gentex mirrors and harnesses etc. I sent him a msg and yet to hear back. Once I do, I will update the info here for everyone. I also called Cruchfield and they only have this gentex snap-in little device below. Only drawback is that you will need to change the battery in due time.
